We do teach them how, they just refuse to listen and instead keep insisting on loading down untanked T1 haulers with their entire life savings, then rage quit when it gets popped…
Some people cant be taught anything. Those are the people l let fail and leave it to fate to teach them what they need to know. If they rage and quit…so be it.
You are right of course. But on more than one occasion the things laid out by CCP/FC didn’t get changed at all for release once they were fixed. I would be surprised if the current setup of ore distribution and mineral composition would change in any way for the release.
People used to profit from hopping on the test servers for that very thing: to check blueprints, items composition and attributes or mechanics out before the release to gain economic advantage by stacking up their supplies accordingly or by selling stuff before it dropped in price. And they made gigatons of isk doing so, because stuff never changed for release.
My prediction is Exordium yields a 25% gain - by whatever metric you use, ie: happier new capsuleers, less cancellations, more conversions, etc.
My prediction is a 25% reduction. Newbies aren’t quitting EVE because they get ganked as per CCP, and the supposed plethora of newbie killmails where they load all ten million ISK worth of their assets into an unfit badger and get popped autopiloting to Jita show they’re not afraid of the dangerous open world either. 99% of them quit within hours, as the statistics shown at Fanfest indicate, and the explanation for this is easy: They’re bored. The basic NPC combat and mining of the tutorial aren’t at all fun, and gives no indication of the mechanical depth EVE has to offer. The tutorial should show them PvP as early as possible, and Exordium is explicitly designed to make PvP impossible.
It’s the dumbest thing ever.
It’s the dumbest thing ever.
Unless it works… And nothing is dumber than betting the company on blockchain.
Now that new players can’t be ganked, they won’t have any incentive to keep mining, and they will all quit the game.
Just in Exordium.
That can wait a few days until the newbies learn how to pilot their ships and leave Exordium for the wider fields of Eve. There’s no reason for anyone to “miss out” on the full experience. They just may not have it for up to a month is all.
If I had not had the full experience in a month, I would have quit.
The fact that on day 2 playing EvE someone told me about ninja salvage/looting in the newbie chat channel and I was doing it the next week, is what hooked me.
Can you please show a source that explains that new players can’t leave the starting zone to ninja loot level 4s? CCP hasn’t revealed anything that would show that to be impossible.
Not impossible, just much less likely, I only went 3-4 jumps in highsec to find my level 4 runners.
So? Why are you crying about disance?
Because, in my estimation newbs won’t go 20 jumps to do a thing, and thus they won’t find the fun stuff to do and then they will leave.
Thus Exordium will have exactly the opposite effect to the one desired.
They could do whatevery they wanted there, as long as it was within the rules of the school.
CCP has long touted that their game is a “true sandbox” but it never has been.
Market manipulation being one of the “big ones.”
So according to you, CCP needs to put every single Level 4 agent in 0.9 systems to allow ninja looting. And they all need to be right next to a newbie system. That’s doable. I have no problem with that.
Your answer is hyperbolic. It’s obvious that only some of the level 4 missions need to be next to newb systems, and lowsec dwellers should not be disbarred from level 4 mission content in the way you suggest.
So what’s the problem? Most newbies don’t scan down level 4 areas to steal loot from the ones doing them. It’s way more common for newbies to fly 20 systems than it is for them to scan down level 4 areas to ninja loot them.
If you are upset that there aren’t newbies doing this, then the solution is to add in more level 4 systems to the areas around these newbie zones.
Sure thing, whatever eases that bruised ego. Carry on, flagger.
I mean, whatever emotional scam you’re trying impose on someone, if it inflates your fragile ego and sense of purpose in life.
I think they can; just not sure how entry/exit to Exordium space works, ie: is there a pre-defined time period that prevents reentry outside of that?
similar to now, how we enter/exit yulai newbros can do the same, even on day 1..
say they leave before 30 days is up, go exploring, but don’t wanna take all their stuff with them, they can leave it in exo and come back anytime, similar to completing other career agents to fix standings.. they can go back anytime.
