The permits could work like an Upwell quantum core, but they go in a mid slot. 100% drop rate when you die. Make ganking great again.
Have seen a couple of Orcas and Macks, have fleeted with one of them. Was cool, and the intention with FC was to help rookies, not afk mine.
Sample of 1 of 3 seen so far.
Well frontier is a blockchain abomination that shouldn’t even exist and vanguard probably isn’t going to do any real heavy lifting, the same way dust 514 didn’t
If they don’t succeed, it doesn’t bode well for EVE…
High-sec is already cluttered. Wouldn’t spreading new players into other starting areas reduce that congestion instead of concentrating everyone in the same space?
High-sec is busier in Caldari space. It’s a ghost town in Amarr space. Not sure about the other Empires…
Worse than Amarr.
FW is treated too much like a side game.
I think it would be more realistic, and more interesting, if it were scaled up.
In the actual setting, these empires should be at each other’s throats. A war between empires should feel like a war between empires, not a contained activity off to the side.
But wait, there’s more! In just over a week we’ll be getting Military Campaigns…
You think new players cry now? ![]()
I’m glad you took that with a sense of humor. I like the idea, but we would be fighting npc’s. Not what I signed up for. If you could entice players to get involved, that would be meaningful.
Yeah don’t get too excited, from what i saw during the mass test the other day they are very lackluster in terms of rewards and for the most part things still happen even if the empire fails its campaign, its also worth noting that there doesn’t appear to be just 1 “winner” so all 4 empires can succeed which means this isn’t really a war at all
Put your roleplay where your mouth is. Get a ganking ship and start killing the Caldari ventures. Otherwise, you are just talk.
I would love to see that. That would force a split.
I’d love to shoot anyone not alligned with Caldari!
It’s funny to me that we’re “at war” with other empires but we cross paths constantly without interaction.
The empires have fleets with thousands or hundreds of thousands of capsuleers, they’re just invisible to us players, because we’re “independent capsuleers”. It’s like our capsules have transponders, so we’re always visible in local, while the NPC capsuleers have the ability to turn theirs off, and obviously do so. There could be a hundred cloaked gallente carriers passively scanning everyone crossing the Tripwire (security system on their border with the caldari), and you’d never know.
I really like that concept.
Eh. I’ll stick to PvE. There are no rewards worth losing my ships over.
Currently.
