Your thoughts on new Alpha skills?

Alphas will still not have cloaking because they do not want free cloaked gate camp alts.

Have the confirmed this?

No, we have not seen the new alpha skill list but there is almost zero chance that alphas will get access to cloaking modules (or cynos, or PI, or mining barges, etc.). All the same concerns apply now as did back then when CCP implemented the alpha clone.

I think it will really only be an expansion of the ship classes and modules available - basically more of the same but bigger. I highly doubt any new non- ship or ship-fitting skill will be part of the expanded list but we do have to wait until we see the devblog with the details to know for sure.

I just with they don’t get much of the obvious alt stuff like cloaks or cynos.

1-3 mil from lvl 3 mission reward (not counting LP). Can be easy done in gnosis.

You don’t even need a gnosis. I can complete lvl3 missions in a standard Vexor as an alpha with no problems. I don’t consider myself particularly skilled at Eve either.

Im an alpha and i would murder my venture fleet to get my hands on an Astro or Straitos… But I think pirate ships of all sizes should be limited to omegas.

so if they can use medium gun skills does this also count under same catagory as heavy missile T2’s and Heavy Assualt Missile T2’s as well as Rapid heavy launcher II’s do those fall under Medium weapon skills alphas after new patch will be able to use ?

Technically, if nothing is changed, the rapid heavy will be usable by alpha IF the alpha lock is only based on skills because somehow, the skill requirement for the launcher is higher for heavy than rapid heavy. They could limit it in other way tho so CCP would have to confirm.

Run all 12 sets of career agents, and the SoE arc, it’s about 150 Mil if you salvage everything. Sure an Alpha toon can only run these once, but an Alpha player could roll a new toon, run them, transfer the ISK, rinse and repeat.

if I get to battleship on my alpha, I can easily make that in under 2 weeks with missions, faster running kitchen sink incursions. also my alpha already makes 100m isk in a couple of hours following ratting supercarriers. one of the guys I follow makes 176m isk ticks.

Alphas who know what to do make a lot more cash than it could appear, also just by using expendable ships and exploring in wormholes or null, making data sites and relic sites.

Most alphas aren’t going to be following ratting supers around :stuck_out_tongue:

Alphas can get 50m + a day easily, see it all the time.

150m is nothing in modern day EVE. A few days play for a semi-competent individual.

Im looking forward to seeing how much PvE I can run in pirate cruisers with 20mil SP on Alpha.

Sucks there are no pirate BC hulls :frowning:

CCP plz gief love to BC class.

Well… Considering that farming FW is mostly PVE activity with expendable frigate then i can say you have a lot of opportunities to make dank ISK almost risk-free.

Not sure about pirate cruisers tho…

Havent tried FW content yet, though I trained a stealth bomber up for it that I heard was good (but cant fly that in Alpha). Thanks for the tip!

Ive had very good/fast results running HS DEDs with a Cynabal or a Gila for non-Angels sites. Ill be interested to see how well they perform under Alpha rules.

if they make new free skills. They could add new ones. New weapons, new ships, and new activities.

Maybe capture drones. Train them pokemon style. PokEvemon Go!!! No more soloing.

PVE+Freighter ?

some Quality of Life skills would be nice too. loot further away, salvage further/faster. Salvage drones that can loot. Larger cargo. Ability to create filters in item hangers to filter shtuff into containers. Automated manufacturing ( x-ray S < 100 make more

Mines, short duration but for chases. If laid well, enough to push scram off or something. Might be a reason to use 1st person in a fight too.

Considering that the rate of increase of ISK has been rather flat…no, it does not bother me.

BS accumulation on the majority of Alphas isnt a problem because of the sheer amount of noob BS that died screaming at least when I used to play as they charged up the tree to get it.

Im far more interested in non ship skills. Forget how ā€œtallā€ the skill tree is, width is more important.

What skill levels will be capped out?
