thats a whole lot of work for a network onnectivity issue friend…
Im east coast US, Maryland and have been having problems logging in all day. Sometimes I get to the cant connect to server with the connect button, other times it just sits on the autneticating or load bulk data. When I have been able to get in it is unplayable. I have been in jump for 3+ minutes…come on CCP. I know this is an attack, but it isnt the first time and at this point I would expect you to have gone through this plan of action before.
Urg #angryspacepirate
What? Be prepared? Like having a condom? CCP?
Has anyone ever seen any proactive actions by CCP on these kinda issues? I don’t think they have any choice as to who hits them and how…
how many days lost - 7 days - and counting
My chat is still down. Frankly, what is more annoying than my paid subscription being useless (oh yeah, i want to pilot and not prevent suicide gank) is the constant ambiguous message that maybe the problem is on the client end. As if it isn’t inconvenient enough not to have service but now some may be inclined to waste loads of their time rebooting, reinstalling, reseting, etc.
SW Fl USA here by the Gulf of Mexico.
I know this doesnt help but am happy to see I am not the only one here having issues…
used VPN last night and it let me connect long enough to buy some goods and no chat or local.
heavy lag, too heavy before disco and no longer worked through vpn…
seeing as how they havent caught the DDOS people, I am wondering if the country they are based has a cyber division in its government… sure if this was an Extended DDOS then they should of been able to track it to the Original Proxy by now,…
Maybe they really just decided to can their own game after cashing in on all the players first lol.
Was it not they who said and I quote “We cannot Guarantee TRUST”
if thwey openly can it they can get sued by players for what they paid… but if they drive off the sheep after they pay for the grass, making room for the next herd

I know. I do not need to guess, which you seem to be implying. Unlike you I do know well enough what is going on. CCP is not responsible for some people having the game DDOSd and certain traffic lines flooded with requests up to a level that prevents people from logging in.
You definitely do not have any understanding of what is going on and, again, you would be far better off doing your name justice instead of making yourself look like a fool. At least, when you stay silent, no one can be sure that you are indeed a fool.
Until the ddos attacks are delt with and stability returns please take down the clusters.
The reasoning behind this is the inability to deal with any hostile action. Having one side of a conflict unable to login or consistent dcing has put us down 85% of our pilots. The opposing forces and mercs they have hired do not have this issue (EU vs USA ppl). Everything in EvE has consequences/recourse. The balance currently is entirely one sided.
I am sure we are not the only ones here, and I am sure CCP will not restore the clusters to where sov/structures were last week. CCP will not reimburse structure losses/SOV losses/index losses etc.
I refer to this reddit post for better explanation/content. https://www.reddit.com/r/Eve/comments/exbjzr/larger_ddos_implications_for_groups/
TLDR Take the clusters down or plan to restore eve before the ddos. Otherwise small blocks across New Eden will be irreversibly fubar and will be the beginning of the end of content in eve.
I am in support of this.
Take it down and restore to the day the DDOS started.
Structures are going into low power and modules are offline.
No way to fuel them and keep them up, no way to make use of the ore from the moon cycles, no way to defend assets.
It would be much easier to restore the system and issue SP for lost training times than trying to do reimbursements to everything lost in the past week.
It just makes sense at this point.
would save them on support tickets as well…
Yes it would. No way to compete with people that do not have a connection issue. It has been almost 6 days now since the start of this. That is a lot of time to not maintain things in game and a lot of loss in time. I still can not log in and on the off chance I make it in I lag like crazy then dc
careful, ISD might come in here and lock this thread and direct you to the appropriate channel for your concerns…(yep…little salty about that in recent forum history even though I haven’t been able to play all day…and I’m generally fully understanding of how hard this is for the people that have to try to get us all put back together…imagine trying to sort out 20,000 nerd riots at once…)
But i fully agree, it might be time to consider just shutting it down and putting a hold on things for the best of continuity for everyone
How about doing a google search for various ways to resolve the log-in / chat issues?
admittedly I’m running an open connection personally over a bridge and still see the chat issues routing from my location so the port block is occurring on their end as far as I can figure it with basic dont care so much analysis…
Take the clusters down, no way the EU cats aren’t wiping out US asset’s and corp’s.
YES! seriously, network connectivity is obviously lopsided at this point…its not an mmo under these conditions regarding the spirit of eve…
I am among the afflicted here, but I don’t think we can consider denying even more people the opportunity to play an ideal solution, either. I don’t want to punish all eve players because some person or persons are in the process of committing cyber terrorism.
It sucks, but it’s the cyber terrorists I am at issue with, not the remainder of the eve player base that can still play.
well considered, living among the afflicted(*edit) of course provides a viewpoint…still a merited discussion of course given the ongoing issues
