-1 All This Scarcity Has Made Me Scarce

I in fact think that it’s perfectly acceptable for players to make, embarrassing, shameful choices in sandbox games. They have the undeniable right to do so.

You don’t have to kill to be successful,.
better off to pay someone else to do if its necessary,.

I also pay people to play the game for me.

I read somewhere, by someone… perhaps even in this thread?
that ccp missed out on alot of microtransactions when they removed the station interior - imagine pimping your station with furnature/skins and allowing guests.

i know thats not the eve you want but some do and they might pay4swag.

Yes. This is why I’m so harsh towards ccp, as I read their manifesto they seemed to want to cap income … but in reality, all they did was pull up the ladder and also managed to make the game boring.

I don’t agree with this, I think it’s fine for pvp at least… for pve it’s not.
I didn’t play in “the old days” when you couldn’t even build a titan etc…
But from my understanding of eve, which might be wrong… big guns applied to smaller ships a lot better in those days?
so back then in pvp, there was an actual gain to have a lot of sp?
nowadays… I haven’t done the math or anything, but I’m pretty sure you can be an “elite” pvp’er with 10-20m sp.

as a PvE player… idk? after you sp-crossed into t2 bs or cruiser, or t3c/t3d +weapon systems, there are no isk/hr gains from more single account sp.

so I think ccp has addressed the “issue” with sp, having a lot of it (aka have been subbed long time) don’t matter… which ofc is a little shame because there is no real point or rewards for being a “valued customer”.

same.

well wasn’t it the actions of CCP that dictated that another company bought them? and I’ve also heard that PA has given CCP free creative control, just as long as they meet the income target…?

was this after the industry changes? a lot of wealth is bloated because of it, it all depends on your assets really.
we’ll see if the artificially induced bubble will make the organic bubble burst or make it steady.

someone said Eve is bout adapting to chances… yeah to some point for sure. BUT there is a point where one way to adapt is to Quit the game and move on. was here since da Beta and always adaptet to new stuff. but now i got tired of it. why i pay 15 bucks a month for a second job?? ccp made evrything such scare its more work then worth it at the end. so i just moved on to other games and damn since 2003 there came out a freaking lot of new stuff that is so much more Rewarding youre time! games that dont punish you for playing it.

Not really sure CCP had much of a choice in the matter, CCP already had investors to begin with an PA would have just made an impressive enough offer

And how do you think they will be “encouraged” to meet those income targets in order to retain control, sure they could just not try and then lose control and then we end up with people with even less interest in the players, or they take the L and act like the bad guy to keep ultimate creative control

They don’t really get a say in the matter, the game is going to suffer regardless, this way the game suffers as little as possible, atleast until those income targets get impossible to meet

You can have my stuff, but you have to come and take it.
I had the pleasure of watching you work a few days ago and thought “that took some planning”.
I learned more about highsec PvP by sitting in space and watching it happen than everything I’ve read or watched on YouTube combined.
Also Glittery had just popped off to real life for food or something. I don’t know if I would have learned more or less if he were present, but it doesn’t matter much.

I don’t know the details of the full story, and I don’t think you do either? sound like your guessing.

And yes, I understand that ccp “threw itself on the grenade” to take the majority of the blast…
all I’m saying is that:

  1. it was ccp that dropped the grenade.
  2. there is no one around to protect from the grenade blast. it’s is just unnecessary death and agony.
aka, what they are doing and how they are doing it, it’s not a “salvation” or fix to the problems that they claim they want to fix?

p.s
It makes no sense at all that CCP goes thru with a “scarcity phase” that severely gimps their income, at the same time their “evil overlords” demand more money. So… yeah… this entire “debate” is hella susp
