I get 1 MCT certificate and I can apply it to my main char to get 1 month of training but
I’m not Omega, and can’t fly. use. all Omega locked things?
Or it does work only if you are already Omega on your main and it activates 1 month of training
time on a secondary, Alpha account, but it still remains Alpha for everything else, past training time???
I’m really confused on what does it all means…
For example there’s a 12 MCT offer… does it mean I can get 12 month of training time on whatever character I choose, or 4 months on three, and then, separatedly, I also have to purchase Omega status, which would include at least 1 user unlimited training???
1 MCT = 30 days of training an extra character on your account.
If you’re Alpha I am not sure you can activate it at all, but if you can it would be a waste of an MCT as you would be training at half (Alpha) speed.
You can split up the months.
With 12 MCT you could train both the second and third character simultaneously for 6 months. Or you could train only the second character for 12 months, or train it for 3 months and then wait, then train the second and third character for 4 months and have one month MCT left at the end. All while your main character continues to train as usual. Any combination you choose, as you can apply the MCT from your redeem queue individually per month.
Yes, you would want Omega status while you activate them. MCT only help for second and third characters on the account, if the first character cannot train because he’s Alpha it’s kind of pointless to buy MCT as you would not only be wasting MCT on half the SP as usual, you would also not need MCT at all to train a second character because the first character at max SP cannot train further anyway.

That is incorrect. You can then train two alphas if you activate one MCT. The number of active training queues has nothing to do with omega.
Of course both alpha chars need to be below the 5m skillpoints mark. You can’t train alpha characters above 5m, that still applies.
It is just a certificate you activate for your account. If the account is omega or not is completely decoupled, that is why a running MCT will also not stop to run if your omega has run out in the meantime.

it’s somewhat useful for training up an alt account. Basic ship skills, cybernetics etc so you dont have to waste omega time on those basic skills.
Thats what I did before going omega on my nerd alts and then trained pi skills and then industry.
CCP is king of the arena when it comes to saying one thing, saying something else that counters the first thing and then doing something completely different.
I used that link back in 2021 to explain to @Scipio_Artelius that alphas could use mtcs but could still only train alpha skills. (I forgot about that til I looked it up)
