Well, the event is here, and judging from the patch notes, it’s only for combat/attack battlecruisers… sounds like no command ships allowed. I already got my claymores fit up for it, though, so I’ll see if I can get in one anyway later on.
But if I can’t… time to slap similar fits on some cyclones, I guess. Hey, I’ve never flown a cyclone, so… that’d be cool. 
I meant center stage to the event team in particular, if you read the context in that paragraph.
As in, after the many things wrong with last Feb’s Angel event (this year’s was definitely better, even if no skill accels…), the event team basically put everything on ice, they (CCP in general, I mean, not the event team specifically) came out with the trig invasions in late May/early June, and then iterated upon that a few times, including bringing out the dreadnaught sites in late November, etc… and it wasn’t until this year’s Angel event that the regular event schedule seemed to pick back up.
I’m not counting the dailies in July/August, the dailies in Oct, the snowball dailies in Dec as true events, mind you. No sites, for one thing.
In any event, the trailer for this current quarter says we’re gonna have trigs invading k-space to the extent that stargates will be shut down, so the extra effects on the game you’re looking for… are indeed coming soon™.

Event doesn’t matter if unable to connect to the server…
You are going to have to fly those Cyclones, its t1 only.

my cyclone got capped out and died, also don’t fit HAM’s, cant hit anything

Another nice event CCP trademark …lol, only info you got is “battlecruisers only”, they “made” another impossible event again, remember Guristas Egg Hunt, no description no nothing. So this event will be for me only if i buy skills with plex or something cause omega already have until 14 . Great job and also Happy 17 en

Given just how bad EVE-Steam integration has been since the dawn of time, this is fair compensation for the numerous issues the EVE client has in relation to interoperability, stability, and performance

But that is 3 days of Omega! Just think of all the titans you can cyno through nullsec in that time.

Well, I’m glad to see event cerebral accelerators make a return, but why so stingy?
Well, let me back up.
First, event site spawn rates are disappointing. If you try to focus on the event, you’ll spend half your time flying around looking for content. And, it doesn’t really work as “bonus content” because even if you happen to come across a site while doing your normal PvE activities, the strict T1 BC restriction makes it unlikely that you’ll be in the right ship.
Second, I realize that you guys seem to be reigning in the rewards, but this is kind of stingy. For example, the basic accelerator only gives 17,280 SP (with biology V) over two days (8,640 SP per day), and I’ve found 3 of them so far. As piddly as the SP reward is, and what you have to do to get them, you’d think they’d be a guaranteed drop. Nope. More like a 15% chance.
I don’t know. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by past events (i.e. the frequent and generous events from 2018) and just need to get used to the new reality. But, loot drops and site spawn rates have been rather stingy for the past 3 events -and this is made even worse by how busy new eden has become as of late. What can I say? I’m disappointed. This will be the 3rd live event in a row where my best course of action is to not do the live event, and go back to my normal isk making activities.
And while I’m at it,
Players are complaining about the evergreen rewards being laughably bad. Do you:
- Redesign the rewards?
or - Add a trash can to the redeem screen?

nullsec is for clans or fleets … I play alone so all I can afford is a system with high security and in 4 hours I never found this site
