200 M Skill Points, the Honest Way

Considering to win, you just need more people, what does this have to do with buying skill points and in game ISK?

Pay to win in EVE is literally (please read) “Paying to have friends who will log in and play with you”

Congrats catching up with 200mill skill points the ‘honest way’, but after 30mill, it’s not skill points keeping you from being a good frigate pilot.

Just realized; now I in here too. 200.252.something skill points, the old fashion way. Yeah!

Probably could have made it faster but those +5 implants really are to expensive and a burden for a character I actually use every day.

Funny thing is; after reaching the 200 mio milestone, somehow I just feel old o.0

Is this a joke? My indy alts are at 750m between them and have only ever EXTRACTED and I find it hard to believe that Dinny only has 200.

i thought the max SP was around 440mill?

Ramona is special and so they get 750m for ALL their alts. They get skills up to L10 while us plebs only get L5 max.

“My indy alts between them”

Their sp total, and theres not double digits of them.

I AM special but not as special as Dinny and his “amazing” 200m SP that he got by having a character more than a couple years old.

Fixed.

So… are you saying its hard to generate SPs? Im not, so I dont know where you get that you think Im boasting about a thing that requires no effort.

And 20 has 2 digits in it, not one, so… yeah. Try again, Dinnyfan.

You seem kinda salty for no reason. And who is this Dinny guy you’re talking about? Maybe step away from the monitor a bit and sort out your life a bit?

You appear to be lost and dont know why you are in this thread.

I think you need to reread the OP or just wait until your grandchildren arrive for dinner and they can explain to you how your computer machine works.

Injectors will be the death of this game.

Thats cool, man. No worries

Many of my mains are way past that point (03 chars) and it felt good to have that accomplishment but today it means nothing, instant gratification kiddies rule now.

I ran the numbers (numbers have been re-adjusted due to stupidity b/c maths is hards):

  • Skill Injectors Required: 1021 = 200 million SP (minus 400k starting SP). This takes into account the diminishing amount of SP you get as you reach the specified milestones
  • Skill Injectors = 783,999,000isk each
  • Isk needed to get to 200 million SP = 1021 x 783,999,000 = 800,462,979,000isk
  • PLEX prices = 3,100,000 each
  • Isk needed divided by price of each PLEX needed to get there = 258,213 (and change): that gives you the number of PLEX you would need
  • The real world price of PLEX: 2860 PLEX = $99
  • Divide the number of PLEX you would need (250k) by the amount of PLEX you can get per transaction (2860), which gives you 90 (and change).
  • You are making 90 transactions, at $99 per; that’s $8938 USD

If someone wants to waste $8900, that is perfectly fine by me.

And as someone who’s just started PVP, I can confirm that if you don’t know what you’re doing, it’ll cost you a heck of a lot more
There are steep learning curves to so many parts of this game. Just getting the SP doesn’t mean you will win anything.

You sure your math is right?

You couldn’t be more wrong if you tried. In the beginning (2003) CCP said they would NEVER steer away from time-based skill points. Yes, they said, “NEVER”.

So, in that regard, a LOT has changed. It was and is a terrible idea.

I think the number you were looking for was $28,000.00 US.

No its not. There is a ton you can do with less than 3mil SP apart from whine on the forums.
