2018/04/26 - Mass Disconnect Due To DDoS Attack

Same

You’re assuming that they will hand stuff out as a result of this attack, which I would think unlikely.

I see 16,000+ are in there, but still getting sock closed on a black screen… …fyi, the chat screen shows up a split second before the sock close… maybe that is a coincidence.

CCP Bitcoin farming again I see

depends on which connections are being hit. The people who are getting online are most likely close to the server. Those of us who can’t, are most likely very far away.

I think they’re doing a slow load (letting only a set few people back into the server at a time as to not overload it).

Still can’t connect, stuck on the log in screen.

No problems here. 17200 players and number is rising.

been getting the same, help me

I got excited when i saw it rising only to get the socket closed again, just a waiting game i guess

Why dont I see us all hacking the FCC for our net neutrality already? I cant load webpages I used too because they are competitors of AT&T. Imagine what happens when companies stop your traffic to games that cause violent tendencies… lmao… I bet you all be outside with picket signs n ■■■■…

Well it really depends on how long it lasts. But aside from the cost of SP and gametime. CCP wouldn’t have to divert resources from other game things to deal with the server if these attacks wouldn’t happen.

Yeah it keeps closing on me as well. Been trying every few minutes but no luck yet.

How the hell can people blame CCP for a DDOS attack? I am enjoying the only 6,900+ members online. EVE is running so smooth right now.

I just want to get my ship docked so I can go down the pub instead…

Can not log on for over one hour now.

auth serversallows connections, logging in, but ports close the second the game opens

When companies like google get taken down by ddos, and their servers are designed to handle half the planet how hard does ccp need to make it?

It all depends on how much money or how commited the attacker is.

That’s because AT&T doesn’t want you to know they are one of the worst internet providers available. Companies with nothing to hide don’t do that. I’m a big fan of a free market - if I don’t like your business methods, I go with a different company.

CCP do something! We smartass are farming SP with 200 clients opened… writing haikus in the meanwhile …
… just imagine the effort to reboot them every few minutes…
