2018/04/26 - Mass Disconnect Due To DDoS Attack

Looked like it was back up so I tried a logon. When I selected my Character, it took me to the ‘Choose an empire to explore’ screen instead.

So much salt, a little patience goes a long way.

“The Tranquility cluster has just experienced a mass disconnect. All services are now recovering, and we are currently investigating the cause of this. Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused!”

Back in my day, you had to saddle a horse, pack a bag, and spend six hours getting to town to play a game of checkers with another human being.

Now all I see is whining because you are disconnected from a game for 15 minutes.

You entitled kids have no idea. NO IDEA, I say!!

yeah nowadays if you lose 6 hours of eve you can lose your structures.

Hey , CCP , please don’t let this stuff happen again !

Who’s gonna shoot your structure if the cluster is down?

people who dont have to " saddle a horse, pack a bag, and spend six hours getting to town"

my bet is a DDos attack (prob by russians using VPNs just trying to connect due to Putin issues)

my local isnt updating

You had a horse? Back in my day, we hadn’t even domesticated those animals. You had to walk barefoot for 6 days to reach the cave of a neighbors just to play stones, And not were you mad if you left your good old whacker-smack stone back home.

Oh and you had to avoid the dire wolves and saber tooth tigers!

I used to research fire and how to make it. These were the times…

Pfft… back in my day we had to learn how to grow arms!

Oh, and lungs.

And everything smelled funny.

But man, the games of ‘cross the line in the sand’ sure were something!

In the Beginning,
There was light.

A DDOS attack followed shortly thereafter.
