In case this event hasnāt illustrated it for you, the number quoted on the launcher is slightly delayed from reality. it shows people online for a minute or so after server downtime starts every morning and it often doesnāt starting showing people back on until a minute or two after the server comes back up. no surprise that during DDOS issues, itās a bit laggy/delayed as well.
They will not give skill injectors for downtimesā¦ that would really screw with the market in a direct wayā¦ they will give unallocated skill points for all omegas affected. Now, if you really want to have injectors to sell, you can extract and then sell injectors, butā¦ gonna make you work/pay for it.
But yes, weāre still waiting on any sort of SP reward from the March chat update week of hell outages, soā¦ maybe CCP is waiting for EVEās 15th birthday to reward us for our patience.
And speaking of patience, donāt bother un/re-installing your EVE, removing all your toons from your launcher, etcā¦ this is not on the client end, guys, itās clearly server-side or internet pipes-sideā¦ all we can do is wait when we canāt connect, donāt freak out.

Maybe itās because I didnāt even have the client open during all of this. Maybe it only affected players that were online at the time or had the client running.
Some of you fail to realize that CCP has no control over a DDoS attack. And giving away reward to people becasue some ******** with a botnet, or some slimy corp orchestrated this would be rewarding bad behavior. The best CCP can do is investigate and attempt to ban/prosecute any involved. CCP is in no way at fault, and no one needs skill points. I never even liked the idea of skill injectors to begin with, but thatās just a personal opinion.

why is it scrubby to ask for compensation for what you pay for and arenāt getting. Obviously overboard with the skill injector. Iād be happy with my services pro rated for the day (or more who knows) that im going without service. Thatās all. Sure CCP is working on getting it fixed and life will go on when that finally happens. But us Omegas who pay for AT LEAST one account each month deserve at the bare minimum 1 day of OMEGA time or how ever that relates to how CCP does things. Youāre not a dedicated CCP player just because youāre telling people to suck it up and deal with it and let them fix it. No. We all pay for a service. Itās not working. Lets get it fixed and make right for these Omega accounts. Itās called good customer service. Something iāve seen all over the net that CCP is known forā¦ but not lately i see.
Correct. They have no control over the attack. But good logs and information can help them configure their firewalls to block the attack.

itās not been the same amount of time for everyone. I have not been able to log on since the scheduled down time. glad itās only been 8 hours for some other people.
