If this is a DDdos at all it is a symptom. There are far to many other random anomalies happening. Like when I start mining and asteroid it tell me it is depleted, when it is not. My vote is packet manipulation and exploits. DDos would just be a symptom or even a distraction.

When you experience stuff like this, you should always file a report. If there was a greater attack on the game, it would not be something the players could notice.
