Hereâs what you donât understand: EVERYTHING in a Linux distribution is 3rd party. All of it. âLinuxâ is nothing more than the kernel running the system. Literally everything else comes from GNU and other sources. So, your argument is invalid. Similarly, MS-DOS is useless without 3rd party software as well. And no one who actually USED MS-DOS back in the day relied on itâs tools, because they were crap. Most used Norton Utilities or similar. Only the truly desperate or ignorant used something MS wrote.
