Same issues as others. Get to char selection screen. Click to log on a char… it loads a bit then black screen and socket closed.

sits down after taking five hours away. Checks forums. all good, logs client socket was closed…

If you’re in the unlucky 10% who can’t connect, people are being filtered from connecting to the servers. At least that is how it seems from what people are finding.

I searched google for ‘scrubbing’ since that’s what a ccp guy called it earlier. This is probably the culprit: https://devcentral.f5.com/articles/scrubbing-away-ddos-attacks

Or you could spend twenty minutes learning how not to become a part of someone’s botnet. Then next time you’ll be able to log in instead of being part of the problem.

This is multiple days where I/we haven’t been able to connect not because of the DDOS, but because of what you’re doing to fight the DDOS. That’s fine and we appreciate you fighting the DDOS, but there 10% of your community that can’t connect. We’re losing time we paid for, and you’ve been largely silent…

Rubbish. People can’t log in because if they’re unlucky, their ip is being scrubbed.

Been looking through and I can’t see an update to this thread or situation from CCP for 7 hours (unless I missed it).

Can we have an update please (or am I wasting the skin on the end of my finger?)
