still getting socket close errors. in the trace route of the launcher network diagnostic tools i am getting alot of time outs
even the support page wont load after typing in credentials in login page

But i tried to use VPN and it worked
Seems if youāre unlucky and from certain ips you wonāt be able to log in due to some sort of block. Until that is removed unlucky ones will be unable to play.
My launcher connects now, I select my character and then I get āConnection Lost - The socket was closedāā¦ .but I see 30,500+ people online playing and having fun. Killing meā¦ I wanna play with my friends. (weeping).

Yes I am getting the Socket closed message as well. We need a workaround or something. I am not familiar with the VPN systems or how they work at all
Based on the server numbers online, 30.5k, when itās as of recent it has been 34-38k for this time on a saturday, iād estimate that somewhere around at least 10% of players and as high as 20% cannot log in.

ccp is the problem they are actively blocking ip ranges used a vpn and was able to get in

I can confirm, that the people who cannot log in are being blocked due to the DDoS. People who state restarting your network works are not far off because there is a chance that your DHCP lease to your ISP will lapse over and you will be assigned a new IP. I simply VPNād over to a city just south of me and I am magically able to connect again, but cannot connect using my regular IP provided by my provider.
If you have access to a VPN service, use it, otherwise powercycling your modem or gateway device may pull a new IP and allow you access. Otherwise you will simply not be able to log in until CCP starts accepting connections from your IP range. No amount of restarting will help.

CCP is blocking ranges of IPās to mitigate the DDoS. I was able to connect as soon as I VPNād even in the same region. Those who powercycle their modem and cannot connect still will simply not be able to connect until CCP releases the restrictions on IP Ranges coming in.
