So I downloaded this game for the first time last night.
Always been nervous since I’ve heard it’s such a big game and all.
I played about two hours, which was spent doing the tutorial and being completely lost as to how to play. Asked for help once in chat and someone told me “GTFO noob, this game is for REAL gamers, not you” which fair enough I am a filthy casual.
And now I can’t log in because you know, reasons, reasons which I do not know.
So yeah first experience with this game has been utterly delightful.
To be fair, these days we’re a lot more educated about it. You know, renewable energy & consumables and such. Trust me, for those long ops we don’t even need to get a drink from the fridge anymore.
Okay this really sucks. I guess when something like this happens, they should kind of put a break on things. Otherwise it’s really messing with in-game stuff in ways that it shouldn’t.
As a customer with multiple paid accounts, I am pretty satisfied overall. This last week or so has had quite a few issues, sure, not a bad track record since 2003 though.
I don’t expect there to never be any problems and as far as I can tell you guys seem to sort out the issues fairly quickly. (sometimes quicker than my internet provider fixes their issues.)
It seems as though people always expect there to be no issues and that’s almost never the case. So I appreciate you guys fixing the issues that do arise in a timely manner and always keeping us updated! Keep up the good work.
The least you could do is shut the server down until the issue is fixed. 1000’s of players are on right now while 1000’s more cannot connect all in the middle of some of the biggest battles ive ever seen on EVE online.
We’ll be taking Tranquility offline shortly for an unscheduled restart in order to finish up fault finding these issues. No ETA for when we’ll be going offline right now, more information forthcoming soon! just posted there answer
Back from supermarket forgiveness in my heart sat down at my levitating computer tried to log, forgiveness back on shelf. Switches over to reddit screams loudly no I don’t care about about low-sec jumpgates into stain. Thanks for the info CCP at least those smug bastards that were online doing ■■■■ will feel the full wrath of this irksome fault. Rant over, good luck guys we’re routing for ya lmao.
stick with it. There are some corps out there that help new capsuleers even while you are in an NPC corp. Don’t let this small snag bother you in regards to the server.
Don’t let it discourage you. As long as you buy plex and skins it’s worth it.
On a serious note, these things happen. We simply haven’t had this kind of tech change drama for a long time. Once upon a time things were much, much, much worse. But then they improved. Recently it’s gone downhill, but the devs will sweat and slave to compensate for matters.
I know that I can play through…so created an Alpha as a scout to see what’s ahead of me… Hope the year subscription was not a mistake… The game looks pretty cool with all that’s going on in it… I wasn’t thrilled with how ED and Star Citizen appeared…
