Yep…Proton VPN in there easy as pie (for free)…sooo just to be clear sounds like the network engineer was 100% right. Chas Aulmais you need a raise. No issues circumventing through a VPN. Sounds like you hit the nail on the head. Hope CCP works out their issue with their security provider. At least we know they are doing a good job of stopping traffic.
Your welcome!!
Can confirm using a vpn fixes the issue
Woohoo!
Wrote in technical support, 3 days have passed when my ship will be returned to me ???!
Now that’s a great idea. I didn’t even think about that. TY, will try bouncing off London or somewhere else.
Sadly yes we sit here staring at our screens wondering where it all went wrong, we seek to join our fellow players and pray to the gods that it gets resolved. I can only hope that CCP can fix this before people decide its time to move on to another game. I am a daily player with two toons, one a CEO and the other a Director in the middle of a War Dec. I’m nervous and concerned and pulling my hair out in frustration. 3 days and not once connected after countless attempts and tickets sent. CCP you have a amazing product but you also have a amazing problem. My hopes go out to you developers and please resolve this soonest! Before I end up sitting in my Pod somewhere…
If you are in North America. Sign up to proton vpn (no CC required.) Connect through another country. I’m connected through the UK. Then load up the game. It’s working for me with no lag. Only takes a couple of minutes to do this.
Just installed a VPN and routed through United Kingdom, and managed to login and actually undock for the first time in 3 days.
Edit: didn’t see the post above mine before I posted, I’m using TunnelBear, will be amazing if it continues to work.
i log in, play for 10 min, and then disconnected… tried three times… =/
Getting kicked every 10 minutes or so.
Also confirm from middle east coast US, installed VPN and connected to European server and I’m on and flying, trading, fitting, etc. stable without any issues. Have not been able to stay logged on for more than 20, 30 mins at a time for 3 days. Fixed now.
I’m in null. Lagging/getting disconnected in null is not an option due to risk of gank by hostile players.
On my alts in HS it wouldn’t be a problem except that it took forever and a half to get my combat ships and travel to rats even though they are harmless. This isn’t an issue of safety, it’s an issue of time.
Have you seen the fix being posted by myself and others? Just use a free VPN. Myself and others have had stability by routing through the UK, but other countries probably work. I am using proton VPN, others are using tunnelbear VPN. Any VPN will do.
Redundancy of hardware and software resources and actual data with no single point of failure, while seemingly providing a single service on a single access point was already a thing before the term “cloud” got known and such public services were offered. Hence “cloud” does not mean all these. It rather means scalability of available resources for current load, including but not limited to processing power (resources allocated to virtual servers) together with network throughput (software defined networks), and at the same time, sharing those resources (physically colocating unrealted services with secure logical isolation).
Yeah… that twitter post about that attack has a fkn date on it. I suggest you learn to read dates etc. They did state it was a DDoS - on the 28th.
The 28th.
Soooo… it isn’t CCP and it is a problem in the US and you were totally wrong and just throwing a hissy-fit due to your privilege? So it is a company in the US over-compensating for something that happened days ago?
And because it is a company from the US messing it up that’s fine now? I hope now you will just shut up like you should have done before you made such an enormous fool of yourself.
Lul.
Issues in game yat again. Lag spikes and rubber banding. Looks like another day of not playing Eve. Three days of trying to play and can not because of this BS attack on CCP. I sure hope CCP learns something from this and have a better plan next time.
At least the upside is I can finish that 52 jump back to the engineer with the meta-alloys in Elite tonight.
Only 2 of which are live servers, 1 for the Chinese market (Serenity) and 1 for the rest of the world (Tranquility); the rest are for backend (ESI), testing (Singularity) and special event purposes.

I didn’t say it was the root cause.
Not exactly. The routing issue would be more of using an ISP that is blocking traffic or no longer forwarding traffic.
CCP may be utilizing a specific PVC on the backbone by way of their connectivity ISP for US based traffic. The main pipeline may be fine, but the lane we are in may be blocked.
