Which is the real problem here? That a/some devs have to give up their weekends to fix the mistakes they made, or that paying customers have to live with an experience that is worse than what they pay for and can realistically expect. Making it sound like customers are at fault for expecting a (more) flawless experience than devs provide and trying to coerce customers into feeling pity for the “poor devs who won’t have a weekend now” is quite the hilarious twist.

If you can’t fix an update maybe it would be great to plan a rollback to the previous version.
This problem is ongoing for too long without any foreseeable changes.

This just makes me question your stability upstairs and not in a funny ironic way.
In other news: I cant believe people will cope on behalf of a corporation they dont work for this hard when they’re clearly not even in the office or logging into their forum accounts rn, seriously consider reading the room.
20 consecutive years of this has finally taken a toll on a lot of people and they want to be heard over dudes who act like they’re devs on an alt account.

On a serious note, why do people post things like this? Because they are choosing to vote with their wallets, and want to encourage others to do the same.
Will it work? Maybe, it has in the past cough monocle gate, Jita riots, greed is good, end cough - Maybe it won’t, but hey, at least with people quitting over this it will hurt CCP’s bottom line, and they deserve no less given the horrible way they’ve handled this.

Or a release engineer would revert tranquility to last week’s one, which probably would take him a matter of minutes, and then discuss what went wrong with the devs when they’re back on monday.
Though if it was that simple, they would probably also have noticed the upcoming problem when they did a test run on singularity, after they also had their automated tests for the chat integration fail…

Why don’t you adapt ircd-ratbox? Just one instance will be able to carry all the chat traffic of the game and you can add as many redundancies as you wish. Reinventing the wheel has the disadvantage of bringing the current embarrassment where a 20-years old game cannot sort out basic chat functionalities.
