Are there some attacks on infrastructure or is this new normalcy?
A different symptom: sitting in system, docked, and suddenly my chat window to a group (“Warp To Me Incursions”) spontaneously closes. I was doing literally nothing when this happened. Upon rejoining, membership was down to 31 (when it closed, the channel membership was around 150). So it wasn’t just my client that dropped out of the channel.
what a dogshit idea. I wonder how you will feel after half the playerbase quits after this implementation and you have no one left to hunt.

You know player use local chat to check standings if a bad dude is around, so what would this help me when i need to check every stupid standing by hand, when someone jumps in and is not already checked.

I better hope there will be an apporopiate compensation as i cant click “pause” on my omega state ingame …

And grrrr, my favorite (almost-) weekly Friday roam stream with @ccp_bee and his merry band of dev/gm pilots gets cancelled. Most likely because of the chat issues. We all have crosses to bear … we need The Bee !

You seem to be testing the players’ respect and trust in the CCP. I want you to know that it’s getting less and less every minute. Luckily we’re here because we love EvE ! You consciously made the blackout before and removed it whenever you wanted. At that time, just like today, there were delays and the local was not working properly. So what has changed now? Why can’t you handle it? Or don’t you want to get over it. None of the channels in the game work for me. Greate Job!
Nobody has to like anybody! Also, if you want respect, you have to earn it first!
When you take what players have, make them useless by subtracting, and then introduce variations as if it’s something new and follow a policy of destructive rather than constructive, you’re done for me! you are only disturbing the harmony of EvE.

Maybe this has been stated already, but here it is: When the local chat is really bad, I’m also seeing a desync of Corp hangars between members. 1 member will only see what was in a hangar when they dock and whatever they put in or remove from a hangar until they undock and redock. Maybe it’s unrelated, but it does seem to correlate for me…
