Reading the patch notes.
Jump fatigue did the job of making space bigger, the problem is you threw the frog in the pot while it was on max heat and people noticed right away. Since releasing jump bridges, they have continually gotten worse than what was available in the POS days. At least the initial release the jump bridges could be put within the weapons envelope of a defensive structure, now they are dangling out in space as a perpetual harassment device and the feature of a EMP ‘stun’ that might help defenders of the bridge hinted at release is nowhere to be seen.
There was nothing stopping people from using interdiction bubbles before the patch. Response fleets are not stupid and will send a scout. I see now why you added cyno onto hictors, you want people to do R&K style pipebombs again. That time in the game was over a decade ago and many of the changes since forced people to turn into the very same massive blobs that R&K videos lamented.
No, the big groups will have the manpower to defend these things 24/7, they will cyno around with their own titans and prime roqual mining era carriers, and everyone else is going to get hellcamped.
I am sorry, warp speed is not nearly as big a problem as m/s speed. An all drugged up implanted garmur can do 7 km/s. There is no way a ship with a short point is going to get hold of this. The ‘overheat while cloaked’ buff that was added to prop mods is likewise problematic, even if a gate or a jump bridge is camped, what is the point if the enemy can just crash back before a lock is achieved?
Corvettes and Tier 1 frigates as travel options? A shuttle is interdiction nullified and costs like 10k ISK.
Fillaments are broken as, so its nice to see an attempt at curtailing the ‘get of out jail free’ mentality. However, how practical will it be to scan down a 1 ship fillament in 15 seconds, when 4.5 of those seconds is needed to run probe scan, 2 seconds to align and depending on distance, warp and get a target lock in the remaining 9 seconds ?
Sentry drones are battleship weapons, these ships should not have a bonus to them at all.
The use of an Orca vs a Freighter for hauling is not decided on their align time. Even a full bulkhead fit Freighter holds more M^3 and with a webbing alt, align time is meaningless.
No. No no no no no. Who cares more about being webbed, nano kitey garbage or brawlers? This is a huge buff to nano gangs, not to ‘balance’ vs brawlers. Wubbles also have a 3 second activation delay unlike warp disruptors, so its sad to see with the reduction in webbing effects the deployment lag was not removed also.
Meanwhile, module tiericide is sadly missing for hull repairers.
Good work, keep on devaluing the effort of people two trained to Tier 2 lasers and crystals.
An athanor on an R4 costs the same to run and defend as one on an R64. Nobody is going to mine this dirt farm until the value of this junk goes up.
Again?
Now that people have invested in these things its time to start hitting them with the nerf bat before the deathless ships cost the same as a t2.
You know at this point the patch is downloaded and I just don’t care for the rest today, for every thing positive there seems to be as many negatives and its hard to feel enthusiastic.
