3 months after fanfest and what do we have?

omg lucas is back
looking good
lost some weight

btw were is andersen ?

So I guess Deathless was disappointed with CCP and Fanfest too.

What I am saying is that they planned for this very thread’s question to be asked 3 months ago!

There is nothing wrong with how they are doing it either and it allows their Capsuleer’s to build hype within the eve community.

/Thinking of it as building a back story for the intese shake up that will happen with Concord (CCP controlled Police in Highsec)

Destruction has been fairly stable while production has dropped

Those are the important numbers, the rest is just trading and asset gathering (to a degree due to unknown upcoming changes).

It does, if there are so many alts of old players, all maxed out and producing anything they can get their hands on then it’s nigh impossible for newcomers to get in to it, not even the “starter” lowly stuff. It would be akin to old players overrunning newbies in their missions, combat sites and whatever other in space activity to the point where there’s simply no point in newbies even trying. This isn’t some weird or difficult concept, you just don’t like the repercussions of that statement

I see it in space and it’s visible in the total destruction still being decently on par. Anecdotal to a degree but since I visit lots of types of space and interact with many folks while doing it it gives a fair overall view I’d say. Surely beats being docked looking at the industry window and making assumptions from that.

I used to not do any industry at all, it’s only since the changes a while ago (where everybody was whining they couldn’t make profits, while not actually adjusting to the new situation) that a friend talked me into it, mostly just as a proof of concept and made a killing with it. It’s still not my thing and now I really just do it to support and feed some of my friends.

It does, but I don’t do the “woe is me, this game sucks I told you so”. What I see is that CCP has been doing stuff that they KNOW would cost them subs, and they did it anyway. I see CCP as chaotic neutral: ■■■■ happens, deal with it, adapt.

Yes, those are people in space, doing things. Perhaps just not your type of space but that’s your issue, not theirs.

agreed, not a fan for various reasons. At least it’s not (easily) bottable and can’t really be afked so at the very least they are active players.

Not being able to do that is only a problem for players who who watch the market screen 24/7, so (maxed out) trading alts. Who has maxed out trading alts? Oh yeah, not the newbies.

Factually untrue

The July production vs destruction graphs show a clear picture of what is comming with the faction warfare becoming the main focus over the next couple of years.

As many sit back and wait and start to downsize assets to convert to plex as they saw what was going to happen after the price increase.

Only produce what needs to be replaced or what can’t be obtained through current channels, the price increase allows a Capsuleer to revist their older warehouses to rethink why am I holding this and will it be of any use in the future when I want/need extra isk now! My guess though could be wrong.

True, but the same applies to production so in relation to each other it holds true and that was my point: there’s less production compared to destruction.

Again, changing an order only matters to someone who watches the market window all the time, to adapt to changes so “professionals”. Some newbie whop just does it as a start isn’t going to do that, and if he found some cool loot and put it on the market he isn’t going to stay docked and wait till it sold, same thing when he puts up a buy order for a new ship.

NOT easily being able to adjust your orders benefits casual traders and thus newbies. No more OCD autism traders.

No not yet.

Yes, like everyone else. So your advantage as a

is mostly gone

First of all CCP is as CCP does, there’s barely any logic to it. Beyond that the salty stale old farts controlling everything keeps newbies from progressing and that keeps new blood from sticking around and advancing.

People WANT micro transactions. The vocal minority might not but the larger player base loves that ■■■■, and that’s not just EVE. In fact EVE is kinda late to the party in that respect. Same as in WoWS, streamers hate on overpowered BS ships and CC’s ragequit over how the company handles things. In the mean time the general public keeps buying premium ships by the thousands, the more ■■■■■■■■ they are the better.

Same here, “everyone” whines about that 2 mil SP sale but you can bet your arse a ton of people bought it, including the ones whining about it.

you hurt more from the changes than newbies do.

OFCOURSE there is an allround drop in activity, I never stated otherwise. Don’t straw man.

It’s literally right here:

The summer of rage wasn’t about microtransactions.

It was about CCP spending all their time on World of Darkness for years, fcking up Walking in Stations because it turned out to just be a beta FOR world of darkness and be utterly useless and not nearly what was shown or promised. It was CCP stating that any changes and updates would take another 18 months, it was the Fearless memo AND it was Zinfandel’s $1000 dollar jeans.

Stating it to be about “microtransactions” means you either have no clue, you’re purposely talking nonsense or both.

So that’s two for two lies. Good luck with the rest.

And that’s the main reason for new players leaving but they prefer to think that every new player is a crybaby who can’t handle losing a ship. That’s the echo chamber and it’s sealed tight.

Can’t blame anyone for that but the player who didn’t understand the full implications of PvP. Those players either learn or leave.

I guess the best we’ve got is learning a more comprehensive definition of mythomaniac.

And not about CCP, but regarding some posters on this precise thread.

If I may take blame for once as my natural tendency trait will try and turn a negative into a positive at least for this thread.

Well we do have the expansion that is coming in Q4 this year … so maybe a lot of the changes mentioned at Fanfest will be bundled into it.

Well… We have a reworked Login system with pretty nice drugs. The same usual events with nice event drugs… and the start of a FW rework. Things are fairly slow in EVE frankly this monthly update schedule works towards CCP’s favor. Gives CCP time to think about the future, don’t have to burn up MMO content so fast and some other stuff I can’t think of at the moment. There is probably some more stuff I can’t be bothered to remember or find out.

Monthly updates are a nice schedule in my opinion just the right amount of time for this game.

Which game is remotely comparable to EVE Online according to you?

You’re entire argument is “Anyone not playing exactly how I believe people should play need to leave.”. Anyone who isn’t out in space 24/7 ready and willing to be killed isn’t a player to you and therefore won’t be missed.

You know what won’t be missed? You, when there’s no more people and ships to destruct because noone is making new characters or new ships.

No, it’s more CCP’s actions that can be explained that way.

3 months after and we got some stuff nearly everyone already forgot about, because it had negligible impact. No reshaping to be done, no new fields of play. Its the same old stuff. Even Imicus is as ugly as it ever was.

While in Diablo immortal we got FRACTURED PLANE dungeon, in shorter time than 3 months.

Of course you disagree, that’s not what I wrote.
Here is what I wrote so you can quote it properly now:
“Can’t blame anyone for that but the player who didn’t understand the full implications of PvP.”
Meaning: Noobies who puts in the time and effort for a half decent ship then immediately gets ganked didn’t assess risks properly ( full implications of PvP ) or they wouldn’t fly what they can’t afford to fly in the first place.

This is the last account I have on EVE online. When the time runs out I will not renew my accounts until CCP fixes the issues related in the flowing videos : The EVE Online Experience - Play For Free (Trailer) - YouTube ,Eve Online - The Death of New Eden - YouTube, CCP will go WOKE and it will go BROKE just like it broke this game. How many ferraries can you buy with no real money coming in. This last account will tic down until I find other things to do or just move on. I started this game when recovering from wounds from exposure to a real Bio Weapon and it allowed me to reach out and be part of something while alone. I dreamt of having ten active accounts building titans and having fun. But when High sec is broken and the game has been monitized to beyond any sand box I just shake my head and wish for better days. I will miss the Good the bad (narcissistic alpha key board kings) and the wacky that all made EVE a great place to touch humanity. I wish you well, but as for me I can not return until things change. Fly save and survive this recession people peace
