3 months after fanfest and what do we have?

We its a shame but hope you one day come back

No, not again. I’m through with you.

You are playing the wrong game if you expect regular content updates. CCP makes new content like once every 5 years, but still wants 150€ per account per year for the game. When you consider that you need at least 2 accounts to play EVE properly, then you quickly get the most expensive game of all time.

Other games companies release more content in 1 year for free than CCP does in 5 years for money … It wasnt always like this though … when you go back 10-15 years, CCP made huge expansions like Apocrypha with a small team. Then someone at upper management decided to spend most of EVE’s revenue on other projects which was the death sentence for EVE.

Question: “Which game is remotely comparable to EVE Online according to you?”

Your answer:

foregoing the reality that it is the combination, aka the sandbox aspect, that makes EvE unique

and in addition:

That would make them all products of the entertainment business as a group, not necessarily similar products. Unless you think a pole dancer is similar to a comedian ? Come to think of it, some pole dancers are. Welcome back to the world of entertainment.

Remotely comparable, I’d say Infinite Universe or Elite Dangerous. Even X4 Foundations is Remotely comparable and the two last ones are just as much fun, if not more fun, than EVE Online.

I just like an mmo game where I can bury treasure on a desert island, and when I come back three years later its still there. But might be under a vast player-owned fortress.

So what makes you continue to play EvE (without paying) ? What makes this game special enough for you to continue pouring your time into it ?

I hope she’s a good stuntswoman too. :upside_down_face:

She’s “more unique” than any of them.

After recovering from her injuries “Monique” took up pottery and spear chucking.

2004 player here. ITs coming back any day…just hang in there bud. When they get near the end they may have to jack it up another $10, but that just means it will almost be done soon.

Has anyone seen my Unicorn ? I’ll send you guys char link to my isk double service ok?

Swap spaceships for humanoid avatars and literally just about every other mmo out there. Even some of the crappiest sandbox “survival games” out there crush EvE in entertainment value PvE wise. PvP is the only thing CCP has managed to balance better than other mmos and they’re even losing ground on that with every asinine decision they think up lately.

Just wait till 2064, i swear, EVE will be better by then. Monthly sub will be $99 by then, but atleast it will be well worth the price hikes over the past 4 decades.

On a related note, do you think Black Pearl will ever sue CCP for misrepresentation?

If I ever had to push for the opportunity to visit Iceland I would try my darn hardest to set something like this up to experience such on a downhill Longboard run.

Less players?

Many aren’t waiting and left to join their friends in other games.
Me, I have no friends in other games and I’m too curious to leave and not see what happens next in the EVE soap opera.

Precicely so. That is why the answer is none. No other game still, offers the amount of game styles, gameplay and game possibilities in 1 package at the level of complexity, player involvement and interaction And freedom as EVE Online does.

We got absolutely nothing from ccp. Other than moving the gate rats

@Sentenced_1989 It’s only been 3 months. In coding time that’s only 3 weeks.
Meanwhile the game is up and running and really not bad at all, certainly not as bad as the NPCs are wanting to make it out to be.
