This really is ridiculous. It’s been 4 days since I could access the game at all.

I believe there is a fine line between being entitled and expecting a certain level of service quality. Just as in any industry a consumer might not know about all the details of a product or service - circuitry, ingredients, process - but they do expect it to work as was advertised.

The players of this community pay a fee for this product and expect a service.

True, they might not always express it in the most palatable manner, but none-the-less they are paying customers and have every right to express their disgruntlement, as well as ask for reparations for the loss of the quality of service.

If the service provider cannot guarantee or meet the player’s standards, then the players can take their business elsewhere. Unfortunately that is a loss-loss situation for everyone.

Not a peep from CCP about the connection issues since the extended downtime. guess they threw up their hands and went to get drunk as well.

It’s difficult to trace the ‘controller’ of the DDOS. A lot of machines on Internet have downloaded a small ‘bot’ software. Those ‘bots’ check a specific server (or a list of them) to see what their job is. When the controller of the botnet puts some commands like “target www.ddosthis.org” all the bots will try and send as many little network packets that require an equal or greater reply packet in return. In that way it is possible to overload a server.

The botnet manager can use VPNs or proxy’s and even use anonymous mobile internet cards to hide his identity from “the internet police”. He just asks the target for money so he can buy more VPNs, mobile internet cards and hoes to enjoy life.

It’s a strange game, the only winning move is not to pay the DDOSer and he will go back to calling people pretending he’s Microsoft Support and asking for dank amounts of $ to repair your PC. So let’s get back to that the DDOSer is not a hacker, it’s just someone using a preconfigured botnet and some anonymous internet connection and probably a disposable email account.

The whole reason he can actually use it is due to degenerates who can’t keep their PC’s clean. I hope some day that people who are unsuspectingly part of DDOS get their Internet shut down by their provider until they, or in their case someone with an IQ above 69 will clean up their PC.

And you cannot -seriously- demand everybody that is not ‘an expert’ has to shut their internet down,i mean seriously?

The old grandma sending pictures to her daughter has to become an expert as the it specialist just for your demand to fulfill?

Maleware,sleeping bots,silent keyloggers waiting for the wakeup call,they are everywhere and you cannot find them all even as ‘an expert’…

Your demands are pretty obviously driven by a non knowledge of the reality…

Chat should have been restored for most players however there may still be instances of people unable to use chat properly. Our engineers continue to work with our partners to restore services.

Did granny solder her own mainboard? No, then she can go to the shop or get someone to does a cleanup once in a while. Granny doesn’t download the dank stuff you do. Granny can ask her family to help, don’t you help your family? Clean up your PC. You are free to do what you want but that freedom stops when you start to infringe on other people’s freedoms.

Imagine you have a car with a broken taillight, would you not get it repaired it because you aren’t a car expert? I guess @Darlo_Kubika would not.

So, where do we submit our demands? Is there a list now?

Chat is still not working for me (any channel).

I still can’t connect to the game, I get a network communication error saying it has been disrupted. Yesterday I couldn’t even sign into these forums but now that’s fixed at least. Also, Eve Portal on my phone is not populating my market transactions.

I have not been able to log into the game at all for 2 days -I have been getting the “Connection with server Closed” message

Has there been a fix for this posted somewhere? Or do I need to submit a ticket?

In the past when I have had this problem I found that rebooting my computer would make it work again for whatever weird reason. This time that is not working for me, but it’s at least worth a try given that 20K people are now online. They posted that they are still investigating login issues.
