Chat services are still out over 5 hours after saying that they were “Fixed”
After running a tracert locally and have a few NA based corpmates run it my best guess is that Amazon AWS in the NA is refusing connections to said chat servers due to a fail-safe overload caused by the ongoing DDoS attacks for the last 5 days. The only way to clear the overload is to reboot the servers that CCP is using for chat; so the chat issues are more than likely Amazon related and not something CCP can fix easily.
Coding and network issues are two separate things, seems you’re one of the clown Karens.
I’d be the first to chastise CCP for their mistakes and mishaps and have done so for years. THIS specific issue has nothing to do with spaghetti code, clueless developers or Tuxford hitting the big red server button.
I fully understand people not being happy about (personally I can’t even log in right now) but clueless whining retards who make uninformed clown posts and idiotic “demands” are just that: idiots.
This is just a mockery. First, the login problem. Then the problem with connecting the chat. After many times after switching to the game, the chat finally connects, but still the local chat does not show the entire list of characters in the system. Everyone shows a list of local chat in different ways.
CCP has to get it together. They were obviously unprepared and have been scrambling, but how long does it take to contact and employ experts? 4 days is just not acceptable.
Well on the bright side, I can run those relics in wormholes without you punks trying to gank me!
lol but seriously, there are clearly still issues with the game. I would recommend staying away from PvP activity for the foreseeable future while this is being resolved. It sucks and we can criticise CCP all we want but at the end of the day, there’s nothing we can do so we just have to be patient.
I hated to do it, but I decided to to let the accounts resume just yet. I think I will alpha for a while. It might be a new thing with people who don’t have much to do other than ruin another’s fun.
I was never that great at multiboxing anyway. Mining gets tedious after awhile LOL.
