A heavy denial of service attack has been directed at EVE over the last three or four days. Why? Who knows. CCP I am sure is marshaling all resources against this. If this attack succeeds it will destroy TQ so please don’t root against CCP.

Damn Triglavians! Concord needs to take a serious action here! Now they’ve infiltrated our alternate RL VR construct.

For the record, chat is still broken for me and just about everyone I talk to on comms.

New England here…been able to get in for the last few hours and the game is acting ok. Chat still broke, but I don’t care about that. First attempt at login always fails, but hitting the connect button after the first fail has worked the last few times. No DC or lag for the past few hours.

Just don’t do anything risky and it seems ok. Hope it gets better from here, but for now, I would be fine if it stayed like this and at least remained reliable. I won’t be doing much until we’re sure it’s all good though.

Colorado here, on Comcast/Xfinity. Since last night, I’ve been getting this message:

Could not connect to chat server at live.chat.eveonline.com:5222. Please ensure that this port isn’t blocked. Retry?

Still cant logon or remain reliably connected here. East Coast US. Even if these latter problems were results of responses to the DDoS rather than the DDoS itself, the initiator is still responsible and should be firmly kicked in the nuts 3 or 400 times before they face justice. Here is hoping EVE gets a handle on this mess sooner rather than later.

you should ask mom n dad before you use their cards, like CCP care bout a few people spending $1000 dew to tax, they make more in a week than 90% here do in a year. give them a god dam break been under constant DDOS for days now making is a shitty time to play yeah. but they are working on getting it fixed ASAP so stfu go walk the dog n get a breath of fresh air. ccp will most likely give out something as compensation in 1 way or another they always do

also in the central us unable to login for the whole week

OK So here is the issue from my end
im in australia
if i connect via the launcher i get the Connection Failed message
if i press OK then connect from the client i can connect to eve
once in eve i cant connect to chat “live.chat.eveonline.com:5222

a tracert to this only goes 11 hopps before a timeout

Matters are still far from fixed.

Takes multiple attempts to log in, no chat.
Hope your engineers are going to put in some OT this weekend.

Still unable to play, took a few attempts to login, after login nothing renders. Is this ever going to be fixed. It’s been 5 days, I’m beginning to lose faith. Prepaid for 12 months, just want my money back at this point.

yo CCP tweeting out about your big party your going to have while your customers grow angrier and angrier from lack of information and service isnt the best idea youve had today.

Looks like no EVE for me this weekend. Status updates few and far between. What is going on? Last update was everything except chat for a few players was fixed, yet the average players online is down almost 10k.

Despite still being blocked by Neustar, I was finally able to login by dismissing the Connection Failed prompt and pressing Connect in-game. Quality administration there, I’m sure.

Unfortunately, chat is still very much broken. Which means the game is effectively unplayable.

Very few updates, even less actual fixes, and I’m sure the nearly week of Omega wasted for many of us will not be reimbursed.


Brilliantly handled.

I appreciate the hard work and dedication of all those at CCP to provide a game like EVE to so many people. Although, it may be easier to criticize and complain, at its core are passionate people who enjoy an experience New Eden has provided over so many years. I look forward, through its ups and downs, to continue to enjoy what EVE has to offer and hope any issues that are currently prohibiting capsuleers from enjoying this game are resolved.
