Well, that’s something I think we are all able to make clear and having spent a lot of time in South Korea, I have no issue at all with our societies being compared. They are wonderful people.

Okay, this is getting out of hand. The legality of it in whatever jurisdiction literally does not matter. It’s like breaking a forum rule. Legally I have the First Amendment right to freedom of speech, but on CCP’s forums I’m bound by their much more limited rules and the rules I agreed to when posting.
The legality only matters if Judge decides to sue, and at that point it’ll be out of the hands of space lawyers.

Fiddlesticks. The idea that sticks and stones can break your bones and so can words is NOT a fact in most of the “civilized world”.
gigx may or may not have conspired to commit GBH (there is not eveidence so far), but he did not commit assault. Assault requires proximity. You’ll note that is true in both Australia and in Serbia. This is because it is common sense. You can’t spend vast sums of money on court cases because some snowflake who spends all day winding people up gets yelled at.
Or, rather, you can, but then you get vast state debt, rampant dishonesty in government, and eventually Trump.
This whole debate about criminal law is hysterical. It is being raised by folks who wouldn’t know, who have no qualifications in law.
The bottom line is that gigx should be banned, but so should thejudge. In fact, both alliances and all the corps who belong to them should be dissolved and assets confiscated.
Not as a matter of law, but of standards of conduct.
gigx has hardly brought honour and glory to CCP, but what thejudge did was far, far worse. That entity used a position of supposed trust and representation to maliciously, and with aforethought, get another player banned.
That conduct is disgraceful and has already brought the game and the community into disrepute.
Any staff involved in the episode who fail to demonstrate transparent neutrality and concern for fair play should also be dismissed.

the first amendment protects you from censorship by the government, champ. it doesn’t forbid private, international businesses from censoring speech on the channels they own.

I don’t agree with the punishment they have chosen, but it’s still their choice that matters and they are perfectly right to choose how they see fit.

a threat is one level, and assault is the next level. are you sure there is no mention of threats in either country? so it’s okay to say I want to kill my wife, then call her coworkers to find out where she is in both countries? if so that blows my mind - if not your views on assault are the wrong information relating to said offense.
