Perhaps I am.
Who do I contact to help defend against this griefing?
Omega Theta
Of course we know he’s said it.
But I think the whole thing is smashing and good fun.
We all can make our own stories around this as is the way with eve and I say good luck to everyone , even you Kane
If you are handing out free luck, make sure to send me some.
There should be a New Eden-wide consortium that takes over all POCOs, a not-for-profit organization, and sets them to the lowest possible tax so we can let th sPIce flow as much as Fedoly possible and get back to actually playing the game with big ships.
Thanks! We can’t let Bjorn just bully simple POCO operators. It’s messing with their livlihoods for no reason. They didn’t ask for their POCOs to be shot.
For all their bluster, Dracvlad and Githany didn’t even bother to show up.
They didn’t cave to anything except the stark numbers of how a small group of wardeccers was having an outsized influence on corps and alliances, causing many of the victims to collapse and vanish entirely as a result. This is documented in CSM minutes. If you’d like I could find exactly where for you to see it yourself. But I suppose in our post-truth alternative facts world that doesn’t really matter anymore. Feel free to continue spouting whatever nonsensical drivel makes you happy.
I never ask for anything I own to be shot. You should go tell everyone in the game to stop shooting at me! D:
I think there’s more to the data than what the CSM is shown. Why would I think that? Because I’ve been in VMG, Pirat, and now Blackflag and never had it been about war dec’ing some new player corp and terrorizing them. It was always about wardec’ing the largest Nullsec blocks and farming them around trade pipes and hubs and also having attack and defense contracts as well as targeted hits.
When CCP presented their data at Eve Vegas when all this hurf blurf kicked off they revealed that 5 Highsec groups were responsible for all the damage and that the kill to loss ratio was highly in favor of the war dec groups.
Those 5 main offenders that were painted as the bad guy were not your groups that were targeting smaller new player corps. They were blanket war dec groups that harassed Nullsec groups. What I’m saying is that essentially all this data that was presented told nothing of new player groups in Highsec getting pushed out of the game… but Nullsec groups getting shot at. Nullsec groups that we’re too big to care about their new players.
So if anyone has truly pushed players out of the game it’s the mega bloc Nullsec groups. Then it’s your shitty predatory Highsec mining and mission running corps, and then it’s CCP themselves.
CCP wouldn’t have addressed the problem if it wasn’t a problem. They’re too lazy for that. The actions of a small group were costing them enough revenue that they felt they had to act. Justify what you do anyway you like.
I’m not disputing that blanket wardecs have made people quit, but I put more blame on the Nullsec groups that mass recruit new players just so they can keep up with their N+1 game in Nullsec.
If they actively invested time and resources into helping new players it would be different. I mean look… even to this day we have war HQs that can be blown up to stop the war. Yet these Nullsec groups are too lazy to put their new players in war immune corps and too lazy to end the wars. So their new players still suffer.
Is this still war decs problem?
Well, that’s certainly not a rational assumption.
I suspect the wardec changes have backfired, and made the wardec community more monolithic. Previously, a small group could wardec a larger group with relatively little risk, but now they need to invest significant assets. Consequently, small groups cannot effectively snipe at larger groups, causing wardeccers to coalesce and blob together.
Whereas new players once had easy entry into ganking, baiting, and war deccing - this is no longer the case, and new players are disadvantaged.
There no one left to fight after making highsec total trash starting in 2017. The guys who hold all the pocos is just one guy with multi-boxed accounts and his only competition is another multi-boxer. EvE is DeaD. And btw, the mercenaries were not wiped out to keep griefers at bay, we were eliminated because we were the last obstacle in the way of total nulsec control over the taxes and trade cartels as it was previously run by mercs. CCP made that reality for them before they sold the company to Koreans.
The only reason Omega even holds the pocos is because the content is so boring that no one wants to fight for them. Everyone hates structure bashing, always have and always will. I was involved with a group a few months ago that could have taken all of it away but then what? We bash for a month at all hours of the night just to bash and bash and bash… its dumb. Nullsec wont even fight for highsec anymore because the content is such trash. The game is boring AF… thanks CCP.
Even for real structures you have to get your alies to bash for you due to time enemies setting up defense when you arent on… and then when you finally take down a structure they get to do the same thing… log in when they rather be sleeping or have allies do it for them. Who made up these rules of war?
I never mentioned new players. I doubt new players, who have roughly a 90% attrition rate anyway, were the driving factor behind those changes. It’s probably moreso the dozens or hundreds of established and paying subscribers compelled to quit because their gameplay was effectively shutdown entirely by the actions of a small group of other players.
Do you really not realize how stupid this sounds when discussing a game where literally the best way of winning a fight is to bring more people than the other side?
Have you checked the name of the corp he is? It is what they do… produce salt.
No, but I gave the posting history a quick look, and it reads like the script to a C-list horror film.
“Best” is subjective. It’s not the only way. Rooks and Kings is proof of that. Fly better than your enemy and it doesn’t matter if they outnumber you.
