A offer to buy two high-sec gates and recreate the former shorter Amarr-Jita route

Player Suggested Event:

How much would an empire owned high-sec gate cost to be built?

That’s my question answering to the players who asked me what am I going to do with my EVE wealth.

Player(s) funding for a new gate:

I’ve never heard of any EVE player step forward offering to have the CCP developers to take away from a EVE character’s ISK wealth to ‘fund’ for such a EVE event creation. Four years ago, there was a EVE mining competition event creating four different low-sec empire gate connections. Same mining event concept and rewards were done eight years ago prior. My main character wears the white Imperial War Reserves jacket. That event jacket always reminds me CCP developers can also do the same thing again, but instead create a high-sec gate building event. This time, a EVE character(s) theme offering their wealth to fund that build (to be fair you could also fund PVP and sabotaging) for all players to participate in.

CCP in the past had accepted requests/donations from corps to create single character monuments for who had completed epic achievements or for a player who had deceased. For content simplicity and CCP team time to create, just omit the player event creation: If CCP would rather just create an empire high-sec gate for a generous ISK amount from my own wallet then that is also acceptable. I would gladly contribute to the empires building a high-sec gate for a name request in return.

I agree with the streamer Loru, 2026 April, “EVE will not last another ten years at the current rate it is doing now.” Even the CCP EVE devs acknowledge this fate is true. The question should be when and what changed prior making the EVE player base decline. In graphs the player decline can be seen started after the shorter between Amarr-Jita ceased. I wish to recreate that route.

It’s true, almost all players had forgotten the reason why the original route ended, the CCP-player disconnection drama after, and associating the EVE decline time line started after the route loss.

Just scroll down to ‘My offer to the EVE players:’ if you don’t wish to read the reason why the original route was forfeited and any supporting reasons why. Some players rather skip the reasons because they are the pulse of EVE and know everything but still complain wondering why things came to be.

The reason why the shorter Jita-Amarr route was lost:

The only problem I see after recreating the shorter route is the current largest EVE null alliance, Imperium, wouldn’t want that route remade because it would cut into their importing to/exporting from Jita and it would return the other null alliances easier connections to high-sec markets/resources to build their fleets and fight back. Their own alliance leaders and members had many times said/wrote that same answer in their own website news why they don’t want a shorter route returned. And their threats to CCP via social media had always been the same rhetoric, they all would protest and EVE quit if that ever happened. It is the same alliance who had handed the Niarja system to the Triglavians for their Pochven region building (Triglavian Invasion event) and reason why they did it. The opportunity was provided in an event able to do that and took it. I agree, it was a genius move executed by their Drake fleet members and is beautifully written in their alliance web news archives. It’s a EVE fact their authors had wrote the purpose that system fell was to farther hinder and divide the other null alliances from acquiring high-sec war resources and ensure rival alliances would not have as good fleet jump courier coordinating like the organized Imperium had established.

And after they celebrated the fallen system victory was when the smearing acquisitions CCP members were in their alliance began to spread favoring them and not the other null alliances. That ballooning rumor was started in social posts written by BOTH sides non-members and their own alliance members. Why? Because in those posts mentioned the null leader had a prior ‘private meeting with CCP’ member(s) who were rumored as been players in their null alliance. That never was denied it never happened. And CCP then quickly created more restricting disclosure rules (CCP made a news update post after about their company-player relations to quell the mosh pit discontent) and became more distancing associating toward the players. Player trust in CCP quickly dissolved after is a fact. EVE and player counts started to decline after is true. EVE drama.

Recreating the shorter route would reopen pathways again/more to rival players, corps, and alliances.

Player counts:

I am envisioning a EVE future with more players and beyond what CCP currently has planned huge update Exordium region for new players and Vanguard scheduled to come. Also creating a shorter route between Jita and Amarr would help the game play easier and faster. And that creates and retain a higher player count.

Remaking a shorter Amarr-Jita route will not solve all the travel route issues after Njarja fell. We all can accept it’s true, it won’t. It’s also true there were less problems, twice as many EVE player counts topping at 54,000+, a good balance of players occupying in each empire, and each empire marketing hub were thriving before that route became long, tiresome to travel, and more dangerous between the empires. The CSM members had shown those degrading’s and player declines happened using graphs. Every CCP staff member in streams had said the same too. CCP agreed. The correlation is the decline started after the route became longer.

Player marketing and empire prosperity now:

Amarr was predicted to be a waste land. Five years ago, Oz a popular EVE market streamer was very vague on his opinions. In the chat thread players projected Amarr was destined to dry up and blow away without connection to Jita. That video can still be watched. Five years later, Amarr is the second most active high-sec marketing hub. It was Dodixie, Hek, and Rens whose markets declined and now have lower player counts the astute marketers had predicted would thrive. Review the MERS five-year history of those three empire regions and you’ll find players had continued investing into both the Domain and its adjacent regions. The other empires not so true and their adjacent regional economies are now almost anemic from their former times. The players congregated in regions where the ISK had remained steadily invested at.

I don’t understand why CCP was disappointed the Gallente empire didn’t win their worm hole in the Drifter event. The player counts were low there for a reason. After the shorter route ceased, CCP catered to the multiboxing ganking continue there. That chased players away to the other the empires or decided quit EVE. A bogus EVE story why and the ‘experimental’ Gallente Election Event was created to hopefully draw players back into that region without fixing the main reason why. After the event, they are quickly leaving that space again.

You can see in the monthly MERS reports that the MPI (Mineral Price Index) and item prices had skyrocketed and continued remaining high after the Triglavian invasion when the Niaja system had fell. That gate connection prior was making economic and game stability. CCP then created years of expansions and updates to tame the prices after those gates fell rather than just return that shorter route. It’s like having excuses continuing placing more and more patches on a flat tire than just damn replacing it.

For you players wanting the Jita 4-4 marketing hub station to go away thus there would be no need for a shorter route, that was already addressed in a past forum to do a Jita 4-4 station siege. All replies didn’t like the forum after it was posted. It was a waste of time to read players had written. It’s interesting almost step-by-step the trashed Jita event ‘wall of text’ forum had described the same comparable combat staging, tactics, EVE player reactions, asset safety problem, rage quitting, post-destruction, etc. were posted six months before the Pandemic Horde’s capital was sieged and destroyed. That Jita siege forum poster was me. After those negative Jita forum replies and what I heard during that shocking null alliance collapse, just assume the Jita 4-4 station will always stay until the last EVE server hamster dies.

It’s great CCP, you could almost smell the players on EVE Reddit and streamers nearly soiled themselves in speculations and panic after the Jita gates were damaged was posted last week. Players are excited what next in the Capsuleer Day XXIII: Warpath event will bring. I smile hearing the early positive player community reactions and anticipations. No player or streamer had made the parallel connection both the soon starting Warpath event and my Jita Siege forum started the attack on the Jita gates week one. The initial player panic and build up was exactly what I had described in my forum would happen. No one connected the parallels what player content the coming Warpath post had listed were similarly listed in detail in the Jita Siege forum made one year ago. I’m chuckling back now. It wasn’t such a stupid forum Jita event idea I had submitted, was it?

Yes, it was briefly mentioned by the devs in a recent NERDS chat are considering ways to allow players to control over (high-sec?) systems and constellations, planet ownership, control taxing, and the markets. New events are being created with storylines are directing players this to become possible.

Ganking:

In the comment section Catalyst Expansion Update 2026 March 18 video with the devs, a fifth of the numerous replies were requests to ‘fix ganking’ in high-sec. Each request had received tens of likes. There were zero replies from any player wanting no change nor stated ganking was just fine. None.

Player ganking did exist in/near Niarja 0.5 before it was handed to the Triglavians by the Imperium Drake fleets in the EVE event. Players were also more willing to congregate there looking for fights. Player owned structures were short lived there. If you ganked someone, you then raced back out being chased by other players hot on your blinking suspect ship. No system NPC station to stage from or able to escape back into. Uedema became the new ganking 0.5 sanctuary system. It has NPC stations they can safely stage at.

The five-year proliferation of ganking in high-sec is comparable to what and is happening now to ‘sanctuary cities’. Politicians defunded police and ‘soft on crime penalties’ increased city crime. The city industries and populace continue leaving. CCP attitude of EVE relations with the players diminished allowed ganking unchecked and players began leaving. CCP devs acknowledge on chats they hadn’t been listening to the players. A EVE dev even said on NERDS, quoting, they ‘don’t have time to the read the player forums but do have time to read hours of (toxic) Reddit’.

The proposed shorter high-sec passage will not be gate ganker free. Never think it will be safe. Just accept high-sec gate camping will always exist. The current game system is designed to coddle that activity. The irony is when players leave EVE because of such over encouraged activity, it’s not a failure on CCP’s part, but was as intended by design.

CCP director Okami acknowledged he was aware continual high-sec ganking contributes to player count decline and ‘it is a problem we need to address’. From the CCP 2026-3-10 ‘Standings & Awoxing’ post, entertain also awarding an empire standing loss (like CONCORD standing loss) to the initial striking character(s) when done in high-sec empire space.

** Let high-sec ganking continue. Leave CONCORD response time remain as is. Leave the CONCORD standings gain/loss as are. Do not exclude new characters from being ganked. That last feature would be messy justifying what/who is a new player. Do begin having empire standing losses. You were in their empire space, you chose to disrespect their empire laws, their empire penalized you, their navy patrols will now be watching for you. **

Future of EVE:

If you had followed the 2026 CSM meeting, then you heard CCP has a high priority wanting to find ways to attract and retain more EVE players. I’m curious what ‘EVE player recognition’, ‘consolidate solar systems’, ‘destroy and create new gates and (NPC) stations’, and what ‘combat changes in high-sec’ will enthrall and planned, soon to be announced during the May 2026 EVE Fanfest. The ‘new gate creation’ caught my attention.

I always assumed CCP never could had anticipated after what if Niaja had fallen in the Triglavian event. CCP leads had the option to remake the route. They also had the option not to and instead decided let the player counts steadily drop after that system fell. That’s a fact shown in graphs made by CSM members and repeatedly said by both the CCP director and leads on streams. Now CCP had made it a top priority to retain and bring back players.

I play as a lone EVE merchant buying and traveling to high-sec stations gathering caches of ores anyone had sold me. That’s my daily niche. I’ve sold billions of ores to the low, null, and worm hole industrialists who may also had made your fleets and structures there. Likewise, those wrecks may had been built with the minerals formerly bought from me. I am envisioning a grander scale of acquisitions and manufacturing hinted to come in the future EVE updates. It is an investment to me fund for a shorter high-traveled Amarr-Jita route for all to use. More EVE players become richer, happier, and would combat more often, means they would likely spend more ISK for materials to build and wreck even more things. It’s a win-win investment cycle for almost everyone.

Despite claims the largest null alliances don’t, it is true they all often purchase huge quantities from Jita. I’ve personally sold large quantities to each large null alliance. It’s not a secret; their alliance names are in their buyer character’s window.

Do I expect it will return the player counts as were in the past? No. The real world is different now and to many EVE players had already left the game this half decade.

My offer to the EVE players:

I’m just another player in the EVE sandbox. I don’t exist to most of you EVE players. I’m overlooked, but I do matter. Most all of you only noticed me as just a number in your buy/sell market spreadsheets. I create market entries I sometimes never seen. I ignore game chat and invites because I sometimes can’t read your words. That’s how I play EVE.

I have desire to be known leaving my mark in EVE lore with the help from CCP they create a player event to restore and connect the two deactivated gates in the Madirmillire and Kaaputenen solar systems, both were formerly connected to the gates in Niarja. My faction and NPC standings are high with both Amarr and Caldari empires and would fit well into the storyline why.

Or just skip having the player event and just surprise the EVE players reconnecting those two gates and create a nice storyline about how a merchant character had been quietly arranging with the empire office-bearers and engineers to accomplish this. Power up those two deactivated gates, CONCORD and empire navy ships resume gate patrol duty, light up two billboards, and add some gate guns. Everything had already been pre-created for any CCP EVE team able to implement that in a short time. Provide an entertaining EVE lore story for the players to read so they can become aware the gates are functioning again. Fund the ISK from my character wallet is acceptable.

I offer 700,000,000,000 (700 billion) ISK to contribute to this empire endeavor. (I told you those wrecks were maybe made from the ores bought from me, next time purchase a higher grade) Negotiate with me CCP how can I donate to reactivate and connect those two gates. Both empires will continue owning their refurbished gate. I envision thousands of EVE player ships, billions worth of cargo passing through, and scores of Vanguard troop transports would be using those gates daily. I’m alone suggesting my proposal to restore what the largest EVE alliance their tens of thousands of members had done half a decade ago. The odds are against me for what I request.

True, the inspiring EVE tycoon multi-trillionaire players could offer much more. Well, they didn’t. It was a single player almost all of you likely never even heard of reselling billions of ores gathered from all the empires to help maybe build your fleets who sometimes watches the EVE universe fade away during play who made this offer. Envision you’re looking at the Van Gogh’s Starry Night painting slowly dissolving away; that’s how I play EVE daily. I have blindness. I play every day with the attitude and expectation players will do better than I could.

Thank you CCP for the nice touch of lore ‘Winter Palace of House Tash-Murkon’ in the Drifter Invasion (event) victory ceremony. A few players had noticed 5 of the 26 awarded players were from my tiny corp and the corp symbol/theme is a snowflake, long homed in that region. The corp snowflake associating with the Winter Palace appellation. That meant a lot being noticed even if it was not intended.

Hundreds of players had asked for and waited for that Amarr-Jita path to be recreated. Wondering if CCP ever will. Never addressed and never came. I hope you understood a little more in this post why CCP didn’t. This player counts had been steadily eroding. I provided some history and facts may be why. Some of you may had not liked. I’m offering to buy and refurbish those offline gates. I want those gates activated and connected. Indeed, EVE history making and change. I have faith the EVE devs and director are listening.

I have one request in return for what I offer.

Name the two connecting gates ‘Maiden’s Passage’ into the EVE lore after my corp name who started advocating for this joint collaboration to happen between the two empires is all what I ask for in return. It’s my personal ‘change to the universe’ contribution for all the ‘Future of EVE’ players and how I would be remembered in the EVE history. That is why and my answer to what I would do with my wealth.

“Your play style/actions says a lot about who and what you’re like in real life.”

Hell no.

We fought hard for our triangle buddies to liberate Niarja from CONCORD’s tyrannical grip, you will not be undoing that hard work for us. Jita and Amarr already have a short connection through Ahbazon, try using a blockade runner or a web alt to move your cargo through it.

I smell ai slop.

And where and when did ccp say eve wouldnt last 10 yrs??

Okay. Then if the jita connection isn’t to be restored, then why not double down and make Jita a dead end system? Make Jita a 0.4 system with Uedama also a 0.4 system and the ONLY way in and out of Jita?

Cough up, dude. Let’s 100% make your reasoning a reality. Let’s burn Jita.

I’m dead (pun intended) serious. Jita needs to be a 0.4 dead end through 0.4 Uedama.

Jita doesn’t need to be a 0.4 system. If it were made so, trade would simply switch to Perimeter or any other nearby highsec system. It wouldn’t address the issue, it would just create a lot of players quitting because lowsec Jita (where most players have their stuff) would be hellcamped for years.

But I am all for making Uedama lowsec. In fact, all empires should be highsec islands (ie only be connected to each other through lowsec). Give each empire something they’re better at than others to encourage players to not just live in Caldari only, and you would see a lot of traffic through the lowsec connections. You’d see corps that “escort” freighters (or rather, camp the gates themselves and web through traffic that pays the fee), and player piracy would be an actual playstyle. Each empire should have three or four single system connections to each neighbour so that a single corp can’t just claim them all themselves, too.

After your speech, you don’t want to “liberate” Jita from Concord? Why not double down?

Just cyno to Jita. Easy right? Force people to train up those jump skills! Fly in those 10b ISK jump freighters!

Lowsec connections? No… one and only one connection- through Uedama.

As for low sec freighters escorts, I would buy a 12 pack and a big bag of popcorn to watch that ■■■■ show! Selling low cost items in Jita while paying triple or higher escort costs only to face a barrage of smart bombs and whatever else players decide to camp with!

Every empire? That would be worth watching! Let’s do it! Only way in and out! Escort costs would be through the roof!!!

I was hoping Jita would be initially attacked or sieged in the Capsuleer event. The player hype was there and it seems CCP wasted the tempo. I was expecting a much more complex reason and content starting why the empires goto war. I was expecting better, sorry.

Destroy the Jita 4-4 station and players will goto a different high-sec station and make it their new main EVE market hub. Nothing was resolved.

Change the Jita system to 0.4 and the system would become just an over camped low-sec system. Why would you even try go to it then? Players what a fairly safe convenience place to shop just like in real life shopping. That is why most all players keep shopping in high-sec. Not for a greater risk getting mugged in some low-sec system. The station would just become like all the other under utilized low sec stations if its security was changed. Leave it stand as is.

The topic is not about a station(s). It’s not about moving your goods using alternate routes if you do this and that and then and maybe this. It’s about a shorter high-sec route between two important empires for all players to use. It’s a request for a means to encourage and wanting to retain more EVE players.

In this forum request a single player is offering up their character wealth for CCP to recreate one thing benefiting the players and increase player counts. No one else had offered or was willing to try. I keep reading dickering and squabbling in my forum replies, That is why the four CCP devs in the 2025 Director’s Cut agreed together ‘we get content ideas from ourselves’ and not from the players.

“And where and when did ccp say eve wouldnt last 10 yrs??”, was asked. I heard it thrice this year in the dev video chats, “If”. A different player three hours ago posted in the EVE News that Pearl Abyss had resold CCP/EVE back to them for much less than purchased. There were spections prior. You may want to read their post. Is it true CCP was sold back?

Oh I know. I simply said that because of those players who insist on changes to remove High Sec or force players to leave High Sec.. etc… as if Null Sec is some kind of rite of passage instead of the multi-box and botter’s cell pool that it really is.

So…how much isk we talking? LOL cause i doubt you’re that rich…lol you at cap?

mecrotic, the amount I offer was written in this forum, “I offer 700,000,000,000 (700 billion) ISK to contribute to this empire endeavor.” Thank you if you had sold any past ores to me. This blind had just resold 45 billion ISK of ore at Jita in two days into this Capsuleer event so far. More still waits to be sold. Their freighters and jump freighters had left the station. Your ore will maybe used to build their fleets. Thank you for the LoLs and missing that twelve digit offer.

Thank you Glenduil for the clarification. You are correct. I agree. I too tire of players repeatedly suggesting that change for a problem that doesn’t resolve it. Players would just create a new main market hub somewhere else in high-sec. The relocated Jita 4-4 station in lawless space deteriorates as the docking bay Bobs spray SKIN-R graffiti on the ships and jacking your chrome. More players leave because of the change.

Here is the problem. A blind EVE player was able to figure out and pointed to the parts already virtually made requesting a CCP dev team with their tools could assemble in maybe two days for the players to one problem that could also resolve other small game play issues. Wow the players with a storyline the connections were remade. The suggestion is brushed off.

Five years had passed and this game now has half the player counts. That is a fact even CCP devs acknowledge in their chats as true. CCP you had wasted those years brain storming alternative ways to one fix. Wasted time. Wasted company money. Player drama, more waste. Half the players had left. Those are facts.

I had made a post with a fix to a long existing problem(s). Twelve hours later I was reading a post Pearl Abyss announcement had resold CCP/EVE back to them for half the price it had initially paid. Read their post why PA had decided to offload CCP.

I am angry. Frustrated. In disbelief.

In all honesty, I would fully support rebuilding the gate and I highly commend you for offering that kind of a contribution!

I paid 250b for a skin for a ship…lol Not enough. 700b is a decent capital…lol This would change the game completely again.

And your last post here where you “submitted a 4 page proposition for an event” to do the same got you nowhere and almost everyone said no… so now its just can i buy it?

Why did people say no? Because they enjoy the long hauls? Are they really that much fun? Granted, I’ve done them more than a few times in Avalanches and Bowheads, but they weren’t thrilling. I don’t understand the allure.

And if you really paid 250b for a skin that you could have made yourself for 2b, that’s on you.

Good luck re-making the Paladin Yoiul Festival YC121 Skin

And go read for yourself?

General consensus was NO.

how about we dont buy the gate(s) back…
ow about an event where it is basically a counter invasion of Pochven …and an attempt by those capsuleers that wish to , to retake such systems as Niarja…pass or fail…turn pochven into a new sudden FW territory… trig-aligned players vs those taht want to blast the trigs into oblivion and retake teh systems.

Edit: give Aegis and Edencom a reason to exist

I really don’t understand. Where is the reasons why not and any suggestions for better? Where is anyone saying they want more EVE players to join?

Where are you when in chats players questioning and wondering why in the hell the route so damn long? You are not there answering and neither had the EVE team.

There are a few players that had responded with ideas for change. Thank you. I’ve been trying too.

You are correct pointing out I did write players will forget most player events. It’s true. And I also had wrote most players remember the outcomes. That’s true too.

This forum was posted one day before the news Pearl Abyss was selling the CCP company back was announced.

EVE Online had been profitable, but CCP continued being unprofitable.

It’s why the EVE team had been trying hard lately creating content and changes to attract new, regain former, and retain more players to this game before that news finally broke.

Imagine the owner or director embarrassment replying to a gaming reporter or during live streaming asked what were their response to this forum created the day before the sales news was broken. A long-time player who had taken the time write a forum requesting & offering a content change returned and would draw back/retain some players to this game. And no EVE team or CSM member told them about this forum. It is bad for any company owner or director be placed on the spot responding they were unaware because their own team didn’t relay that note to them or if they had, they must explain why they had decided not to make the improvement change.

I hope they were made aware by their team. My timing when to request was right on. I do hope there is a change. I would be willing to offer my character and alts wealth for that to happen to bring in more players into EVE.

No other player had wrote offering or was wiling too. Only I had.

Today PA supposedly had signed CCP ownership back for half price.

Most of the nay-sayers thrive on hating High Sec and anything that makes High Sec any better. They want High Sec to be inconvenient so that players either quit or move to null and become multi-boxers like them.

There is no good reason for the removal of the gate in question nor is there a good reason to resist its reimplementation.

I live and box in high sec. I fought to save the system. We lost. Boohoo the route got longer or you have to risk it.

There is no good reason to restore it…Because in a fight we would probably lose again…

There was no good reason to destroy it. There’s no good reason to restore it. There’s no good reason to not allow them to destroy any system in this game.

I don’t know what you mean by “good reason” but by that logic, any system in high sec should be fair game. Including and especially Uedama. According to your post anyway. If that’s not what you meant, I apologize, but that’s what I took from it.
