A significant update to Industry

But I would react in exactly the same way if someone like you were to design a new trading system. It was not about where the CSM member comes from, but that he has no profound knowledge of the matter.

Sure looks like PL did most of the talking. Kenneth made some good points in the details he has invested in, but the sense of ownership on this industry update, and especially the few words from both ccp devs is a little concerning. Anyway, the choice of questions from the Q&A topic was … interesting and, after the heavy manhandling that went on in that thread by an invisible ccp’er, not unexpected. It could have been TiS, but it sure wasn’t CCPTV.

Of course it was. The questions were chosen by a CCP Community Manager… who apparently has never logged into the forums on his CCP handle, or @ccp_swift would autocomplete and show up in blue.

Simply divine. Arrendis 1: CCP 0.

my take on the CSM involvement clearly showed that the changes impact smaller groups unevenly. Even his comment about the trillions previous changes cost him was telling. most players, corps and small alliances dont have trillions to spend on new bpo’s … having a CSM from a maga alliance doing most of the selling during the broadcast only reinforced the idea that neither the CSM nor CCP cares about the little guy . The idea that a new player is somehow better off because he can buy everything he needs from the market. or can now train PI and reactions in addition to mining and defense is absolutely laughable. this doesnt help retention, it further reinforces how complex and difficult the game is and how long term players have all the advantages.

MONOPOLY Online.

A couple things:

  • There are still more significant changes to come in terms of resource allocation, it will likely upend all current thinking
  • Yes, it’s clearly the rich and powerful get more rich and powerful
  • Explaining the variety of ways that players think and act in industry to CCP is a continuous task

Please tell me I am one of the rich and powerful with 150B and 4 accounts. Please lie to me if you must. :stuck_out_tongue: :v:

You are one of the richest and most powerful in New Eden.

They reopen Niarja for freighters at your request.

All quake in their pods when your ship enters system.

Large alliances pay more than 12 billion for intel on your current location.

I’m not sure why making low tier throw away ships easier to build is a good thing for anyone other than people that like to use them as throw away ships.

Making Catalyst ganking gangs even easier and cheaper for newbies/alts is not necessarily a good thing.

Why cheaper ?

Following this is like watching an endless loop.
Player A asks a question.
Player B answers with his opinion.
Player B reads 3 other opinions about the querstion Player A had.
Player B asks the same question Player A did initially.
You are Player B today Anderson Geten

Mineral requirements

More people building them increases supply… .which lowers the price.

START THE STRATIOS PRINTING NOW!!!

I have no idea what your point is here.

You’re upset, but I’m not sure about what.

Because of the changes to mineral amounts needed. Using today’s prices on the mineral requirements, a Catalyst costs 2.38M isk. Using the new mineral #s at the same prices, 1.77M.

So, Catalyst mineral costs are dropping by 25%. So yeah. Gank Cats will be cheaper than they would have been with the current mineral requirements.

thank you, I did not look in the details of BP materials and assumes the standardization was on par with current prices.

To produce, yes.

The market regulates itself in theory. Not that this is gonna make any difference to the multibox gankers, just saying there’s not a guarantee to sell price drop.

That’s literally ridiculous. There is no difficulty or complexity in buying minerals off Jita if you don’t want to go to lowsec to mine, and no difficulty or complexity in having odd/different numbers for different ships. The game literally gives you a copy-pasteable bill of materials so you can extremely easily make a shopping list for mats you don’t have on hand. This new change does not make it any significantly easier.
