A significant update to Industry

Hey, your no help either. Perpetual whining gets none of us anywhere.

Edit; Except banned I guess…

And yet, we have no idea if there are additional changes to the T2 hull requirements.

had to report him.

Morally wrong and legality have no relation whatsoever. It’s as morally wrong to sue someone for $1,000,000 in damages and cripple their entire families livelihoods because of the actions of one family member even though you’re legally within your rights to do so. I’m well aware of my legal rights and you’re not so stop showing your stunning ignorance by making such incorrect claims.

It’s obvious the only thing you care about here is " people buying plex is cheat hurr ". Who bullied you with their credit card in eve?>

I’m not a sweaty armchair gremlin like you whos life revolves around my computer. I don’t have all my time free to play computer games all day like you. When my life and more importantly my work calls on me again my time on eve will be over once more, which may be 1 week from now, or a month. If what i enjoy from eve requires me to boost to a particular point its entirely up to me and has nothing to do with you.

Take your absolutely foul personality and replies to someone else because i don’t entertain e-trash like you.

Yeah… NZ laws don’t allow charge backs on this, because you got what you paid for, you did not pay for ‘Capital ship building’. You paid for Plex, you got said plex, you then traded said plex in game for injectors one way or another, and then used the injectors. That is gameplay elements, not anything to do with what you paid for. So charge back will almost certainly get you banned for fraud.

@CCP_Dopamine It’s disappointing that there is not a high level overview of the changes saying the changes for each level of ship is going to look like, I understand not wanting to try and list every individual change in the Dev Blog, but it would be very helpful to at least provide an overview of “T1 Cruisers mostly change like this, T2 Cruisers like this, T1 Battleships like this” etc.

None of which can’t be addressed by a simple AHK script.

Under an entirely different context, sure.

AFK cloaking is one of a few mechanics in the game that require the defending party to employ reactive defense, however, instead of “consenting” to an encounter by virtue of performing an action (e.g. jumping through a gate without scouting it first). I can’t really name another situation in which you can’t see an enemy coming, aside from being in wormhole space, or getting unlucky by being tackled by an NPC and then having an enemy show up after the fact (i.e. the enemy didn’t know you were tackled beforehand).

If very few people are losing out on valuable ratting time today, so many of them wouldn’t be complaining about this. So there would definitely be a change.

I wish you had not. Were all, or a lot of us are super pissed at where the game is going. We all have the right to call each each other out.

I need to vent as much as the next person…

  • Opportunity to decide when to engage without being harassed;
  • Blue/Red Intel without risk;
  • Intimidation and coercion against others without investing any time in front of the screen;

Are you for real?

  • Create more robust and interesting manufacturing progression
You just made it so you need 15 characters to do any sort of production. Where once a single toon could reliably produce everything up to capitals at their own pace now you’ve created such a time sink into this game that one toon couldn’t possibly produce anything except for base T1 BC and down hulls.

  • Allow for better compartmentalization in the manufacturing process between subcapitals, capitals, and supercapital ships
Have you even looked at the changes you are making ? compartmentalization ??? you are making it so you can’t make ■■■■ without having material from all regions of space making it the opposite.

  • Revitalize the importance of R4 moons
Aka make us spend more isk on ice to fuel MOAR reactions so EVERYTHING COSTS MORE. God forbid you have structures cause now your fuel costs are going to spike to ridiculous levels.

  • Normalize the value proposition between different activities in EVE
    Normalize wut?

  • Increase the importance of wormholes and allow wormholers to be a catalyst in New Eden’s environment
Wormholers still didn’t need ■■■■, stop spoon feeding these nerds

  • Positively impact capital proliferation without a significant impact on subcap markets
There is nothing about this update that POSTIVLY IMPACTS ANYTHING WITH CAPITALS. Not only that you are burying the market on T1 Pirate/Faction ships. They will literally be to expensive to field in anything but small gang pvp. I mean thank god at this point at least you haven’t dicked over all of the T1/T2 ships BC and below.

  • Impact the whole economy of New Eden, such as the pricing of a variety of items
You are burning small time industrialist to the ground. Now you need an additional 10 million skill points just to produce Battleships or any kind of Faction ships. Doing things by yourself is a thing of the past, you now need Alliance/Coalition level industrial coordination to build. Y’all are impacting the economy of New Eden all right. You are damn near tripling the price of EVERYTHING that isn’t T1 BC and down and T2 Bc and down ships.

  • Lay the foundations for future resource distribution.
I can’t wait to see how badly you screw us over with this lol

There absolutely is. You can kill them after they attack.

You are misunderstanding what that means.
What it means is that price/supply/demand are not as linked between the three classes, and they have levers to make capitals cost more without impacting sub caps.

@CCP_Dopamine Has the impact on High Sec battleship production been considered, since Reactions can not be done in Highsec. I would suggest that it is possibly time to allow reactions into at least 0.5 Sec systems to match moon mining and allow high sec corps to still produce battleships.

Just like all those multibox alphas via VM’s get banned… yeah…
Some of your other points are fine, but this one… if there is a trivial work around to a ‘defence’ and it puts load on every player to cope as well, then it’s not worth implementing.

You can find that at least some of that information in the Excel file that was linked in the Dev blog.

No, that is not my view.
My view is that CCP should not implement measures into the game that cause players grief, if those measures are going to be trivial for their intended targets to bypass with basically undetectable means.
When something impacts all other players more than the problem group, then you have a bad measure.
However since we have no clue about any of this and it is 6-12 months off probably, speculation at this time is outright pointless.

You will be wrong alot of us will be gone

Like many of the recent changes I’m not understanding how this helps new players in the slightest.

Making industry even more complicated / harder?

I’m assuming the new components for battleships will require more training to make or acquire via something other then the market?

How does this help new players and encourage them to stay?

This thread needs to be merged with the Mandatory AFK Cloaky Camping thread and the thread creator berated for not realizing that themself.

CCP says, “ensuring that player choices matter” tremendously funny as they force us ever more into a no way out corner in Industry and Mining.

Have you been reading 1984 double speak? Making things ever more complicated does NOT give us much choice other then to fold up our tents and leave to find another game.

Disgusted, just as you get into the swing you pull the damn rug out from under us again, I think I’ll be logging in less and less if at all.

Just automate the mining and industry for corps and make it all PvP …

I think there is serious interest in finding your breaking point. It might even be given priority over making money.

Making things more complicated opens room for people to specialise in producing one step of the production chain, especially right atm, where someone in low/null can focus on the reactions and sell to the high sec market.
So, it does give more choice and opportunity for industrialists to find a niche
