Abandon self entitlement embrace the stoicism!

Boy! It’s a wonder anyone learned how to play this game then! Tell me, by what miracle are you able to play EVE?? What did you use to acquire the knowledge of the different things to do and watch out for I wonder.
So according to you CCP should set up paid-for online classes for new players? Should there be EVE tutors paid by the hour? Could there be a license to play? An EVE diploma issued by EVE University? Could the CSM be employed as New Eden professors? Moderators of this forum could be student-players deans.

How hard is it to type EVE Online Wiki in the damn Google search bar??
What to read? everything.

Thats the opposite of what you just wrote.

Is what you wrote. You cant have it both ways.

You silly people. You just cant stop jumping to conclusions.

You need to be directed because it is more effective and time efficient to take directed courses.

Else you are loosing time.

If you had said that in the first place, then there would be little argument other than “Only if you consider it important to do it quickly”.

I can see why the fate of new players can be not at all important for more experienced players, I can see why CCP would not really do tutorial and help other way than they did.

But I dont think its both good way in both cases, and it is bad for CCP, and players in game, new and old. Because players are leaving more often because of it.

Still though, what’s the rush? It’s not like EVE is dying anytime soon, lol.

I don’t think those players are leaving because they can’t figure EVE out. I think they’re leaving because they can and have figured it out and come to the conclusion that it’s just not the game for them. That’s what I want those players to do, leave instead of coming onto the forum crying and whining and demanding CCP changes the game for them.
EVE isn’t for everyone and the sooner someone figures out it’s not for them the better off everyone is.

With quicker and more exhaustive info on game early, they wouldnt get false impressions that then would be the thing they hold on to, which could later crash with reality and disappoint them.

It would be telling what the game is actually from day one.

I had occasion to tell few people about this game, and even before they started playing, most of them were not interested in trying it tho later. All those people were not conned, were told truth. They didnt ever posted they are disappointed in their choice or that its CCP fault. They were saved and won EVE before even knowing it. :sunglasses:

Which is why I have no sympathy for them. If you believe what a company says about their own product in their advertising, then you have only yourself to blame when it turns out to be lies.

Why blame innocent people who are only a recipient of the ad for someone elses misleading advertising?

Everyone should blame the advertiser.
Blame CCP.

All advertisements are misleading. Where does it stop?

If a person cannot take responsibility for finding out about something from a source other than the one profiting most from you using it, then I guess they blame a lot of other people for their own poor choices a lot.

Why on earth do you feel companies who sell you products can be trusted to tell you the truth?

Because anyone who believes the crap that those companies put out gets no sympathy from me. I may send them a letter saying I’m selling beachfront property in Maricopa County but that’s about it.
