Would that add anything to the game in order to justify the change? Just having people run abyssals outside of high-sec might not be something the game needs in itself.
In fact there can be quite a bit of stuff wrong with that. It could push abyssal runners to join null-sec groups in order to run their sites under cover of the blue donut, leading to less destruction and more stagnation. It would mean that fewer abyssal runners would get destroyed, not more.
Also, when high-end runners get scouted out, it doesnāt matter where they run their sites. We have locator agents for a reason.
Having people spread out is a good thing. When everyone can do anything within one solar system there is no hauling, no travelling and no opportunity for interaction outside that one system.
Most activities are restricted to a part of space and travel. Ice belts can only be found in certain places, for exploration you need to travel around. Industry may happen a lot in one system but even then there are bonuses to make people spread out for lower costs and higher refinement %.
Abyssals can be done from anywhere, without restrictions. Iād like to see some encouragement to do high tier abyssals from other places than the main market.
Like I said, the system doesnāt matter. No area of high-sec would be more safe than others.
All youād be doing is pushing people to run their sites as part of null-sec alliances, leading to a big drop in abyssal runner kills (because this would affect ganking too).
Even if suspect flag was a thing couldnāt they just still run them in Jita where no depot can be anchored and once they emerge they just start a low tier filament, finish it and thus get rid of the suspect flag?
When you cannot anchor depots in Jita, you shouldnāt be able to do filaments in Jita either. Itās simply too easy to avoid interaction if you know how.
At least they can still be ganked. But imagine that the suspect flag is implemented again and the Jita loophole is fixed. These people will simply go to null-sec to do their sites, and now theyāll never die.
