I think there should be a quitter gate in each room. In order to use the gate your cargo hold must be empty.

CCP I definitely agree with this. Loot should be dropped by rats not structures, and a way to get out even without loot should be possible but only for a short time.

These sites are designed to require an omnitank due to the range of potential rats you can face, drifters, sleepers, rogue drone swarms or triglavians.

I second this! An abort gate so you don’t loose your ship but don’t gain the loot either. and still run the risk of exiting abyssal space into a camped signature with nothing to show for it.

No do or die is what I like to have tier 1 to 4 are already achievable to a decent array of ships-I’ve tested it

Now more tier 5 info:

I’ve been doing consistent testing in tier 5 for days with various other hulls than ishtar so far ships like vagabond,sacrilege,cerberus and gila can do a moderate set of tier5 rat variations however sometimes time is a factor and you end up dead.
The hardest type of site so far in my opinion has been dark matter field the velocity increase in the tiny drone swarms is quite challenging.
As far as suggestions the different drones models to differentiate between damage ewar and logi is good but the dmg type they deal should somehow be in their names when they are added for example:

Weak/strong em dmg drones named as:emp discharger barracuda or intensive emp discharger barracuda or alvi however you want to call it

My point is some tiny info in the damage drones within the swarms could be useful especially if you have lowered resistances for that damage type you can make different decissions like do I brawl,or do I kite

they are achievable but tier 5 are pretty much only with optimal skills and fits. ive succeeded one one electrical chaotic filament with a vaga.

Yea I know I have an optimal fit for all minus res sites my point was the other hulls are kinda hit or miss ishtar is 1 step above so far that doesn’t really feel balanced does it

My biggest bump in the road for turret based ships has been the rogue drone battleship and it’s ehp even its structure has more resistances than you’d normally achieve with a dmg control

I’ve already suggested the thing be given more ewar like 1-2 heavy neuts in tier 5 and ehp lowered a bit right now it’s a giant brick even if you shoot in it’s resistance hole

I totally agree about how OP the rogue drone BS is, and how it sits on the boundary to force pilots into the red zone but doesn’t get damaged by this abyss itself is a bit crap. i wish drone/missile ships didn’t excel like they do. it seemed the whole point of these sites was to give turret ships some prominence, but the amount of tiny drones really favours a RLML Cerberus with precision missiles

The mid-tier (2-3) rooms are too easy, especially tier 3. They are still mostly small, weak drones. They get cleared pop-pop-pop like popcorn.

The “strong” drones are too weak. They are pretty much just slower drones that die just about as fast.

The Drifter cruisers were nice. Don’t get caught by a neuting ball or you’re dead. Could we have some drone cruisers in the tier 3s?

The tier 5s have too much raw EHP. Even with an 820 dps Gila I still couldn’t get past the second room of a tier 5 before timer was up. Just takes too long to grind all that HP. I’m not keen on trying an Augmented faction fit Gila in a tier 5 since its only 100dps more.

Tier 4s felt good. I had to actually work for it a bit. But at no time did I feel like it was too hard.

As much as I would like to see the loot in the wrecks instead of a destructible storage container (research facility?) that just coincidentally happens to be present in every room, it would take forever to go around to each wreck and scoop loot, especially in tier 5s, where it takes forever to grind all that BS HP.

The resist penalties per space type are in my opinion unimaginitive and generally pointless. Because the damage type of drones is both fixed and random per room, an omni-tank is mandatory no matter what filament type you use. Something other than resist penalties would be great.

I liked the Dark Matter speed bonus. It made base-speed (ex: Gila) drones too slow to keep up with the NPCs. More like this so you have to actually think about what/how to fly and/or fit.

Dark Matter was a pita for the Vedmak since it has kinda crappy range and unbonused drones. This is good. It would be sad if every tier and type of space could be cleared by one single ship with a singular fit.

There are too few cloud variants. I think there is what 4? And they are mostly negative. So simply avoid at all times. +sigRad, armor tank penalty, shield tank penalty, and… yeah can’t even remember the 4th. So maybe only 3. Or maybe it was so pointless I didn’t even pay it any mind.

Pylons… Automata… etc. Same as above. I pretty much just avoided them at all times. I like the effects. But most of the time I felt like it was best just to avoid them since I spent so much time just kiting the enemies since they do pretty decent damage. Also, why are they not destructible? Can target but can’t shoot or command drones to attack them.

Yes I feel the loot should be in the facility wreck/can running after wrecks to loot will get you killed make a wrong turn toward your loot while still shooting a bs and it can wreck you hard the highest damage on full tank I’ve received so far in t5 was drifter bs did 1550 wrecking and rogue drone bs 2770 wrecking that’s tank with resists ranging from 50% most penalised to 89%

Please reproduce the issue (so we get logs) and then enter a Bug Report from in game.

If lost connection and you still inside from the Abyssal, you reconnect and your in middle nothing, nothing to warp or do, CCP says to use the /moveme command but guys DONT DO IT or you going get ■■■■, I try with 2 characters all with the same error and ther is nogoing to be a fix for that.

I have tried 10 or 15 of the tier 5’s it is a dps race. An Ishtar with 835dps dual webs, and and mwd cannot move around the area fast enough to clear sites in 5 minutes. I was contemplating a 1k dps ishtar but at that point I wont be able to either A) Tank the incoming damage or B)Lose my ability to apply damage to the frigates.

As 5’s currently stand I dont see people willing to risk deadspace or faction mods on a “chance” to complete this site. It should not be tuned for that but for t2 mods.

Another interesting aspect to consider is that lower tiers through mutaplasmids may help build up the fit while working up to tier 5,stuff like abysal reps/propulsion

Presently rats no longer out of the arena I tried several times siting in the abysal space outside they just bump into an invisible barrier so that’s sorted,I noticed new rock structures added within the playing field lately,I kind of bumped into one while running from a swarm of tiny drones

Just had 1 heavy automata suppresor in a tier 5 minus thermal res site not fire up on my drones or tiny drone swarm.
The supressor was just at the edge of the boundry but not outside I didn’t do anything funny to it just normal ran to it with drones after me,other supressors in other rooms and even a light supressor in same room at the center worked fine.
