Yes, it’s called OCR software, and it’s exactly what I’m talking about. And I think you severely underestimate the talent that exists in EVE. It only takes one person to do it and then distribute the tool to everyone else. FFS, if you have even half the talent you claim to have you could build this tool.

No, the reason its not created right now is because there is no way to pull the data from chat out side of pulling it from logs which requires manual imput, and this is easily fixed by ccp (by shifting to server logs instead of local or by encryption so the data cant be pulled).
JFC you’re an idiot. The tool doesn’t exist right now because it has no purpose. You don’t need a third-party tool to display standings icons when you can just click the “set standings” button in the client.

It absolutely is part of the discussion. FFS, aren’t you supposed to be a game designer? Do you honestly not understand something as basic as “if the players bypass the mechanic limiting alliance size and build a donut anyway then your effort to end donuts fails”?
In the end, you are limited to 3 alliances, with 2250 people in them on one team. nothing you can do will change that. You will always have team a, vs team b with 2250 on each side (+ neuts who cant distinguish either)
No, you will have one out-of-game coalition (composed of an arbitrarily large number of in-game alliances) using 22,500 players with third-party standings tools to display the relevant information for everyone involved. Why are you unable to understand such a simple concept? Your mechanic is not effective and therefore it doesn’t matter what the theoretical consequences of it would be in some fantasy world where it somehow worked.
