So….
Completely hypothetically, of course, you could offer the qualified persons employment, unqualified persons could receive educational assistance or internships as necessary. If you’re looking to simply offload them, there are a number of humanitarian outreaches that will gladly take them and help them find residence and employment throughout the cluster.
How about communicate with them – ask them what they would like to have happen to them. Where would they like to go? And what to do? I’m sure you can work something out with them. They’re live beings and they should be treated with respect.
While a fair response, I was under the impression this was a hypothetical exercise and the ‘talk to them’ option had already been attempted before the question was posed here. I suppose I shouldn’t have made that assumption in hindsight.
Not to be off the subject at hand, but do you want some exotic dancers? I have some from long ago and I don’t need them. I have a partner who does all the exotic dancing I need, so they need to move elsewhere.
I’m sure if you at first apologize profusely they’ll be able to get past their more negative sentiments against you.
That’s my advice. I feel that any other way you’d have to use deceit, scamming, or some outright illegal activities to get out of this situation. Or maybe someone else who has been in these circumstances before will see your question and offer better advice.
It’s a real dilemma. I once had an Amarrian station try to pay me in chattel, it was an awkward conversation to say the least.
My advice would be to abandon this hangar. Leave the doors unlocked and never return to this station. If they want to stay they can, if they want to leave they will.
Well now.. hypothetically I’d have to recommend my Aesir Arcology program, which mainly works to rehome freed slaves but happily takes in any baseliners in need! And as Kaendar mentioned there are plenty of other groups with such schemes.
Join me in continuing to advocate for a ‘person conversion unit’ Like reprocessing only with people. Slaves to freed slaves, Grad students to tourists, exotic dancer to military wives . . . you get the idea.
