Agent Finder sent me to agent who refused to give me mission

I asked the agent finder to find me the highest available level Minmatar Distribution agent and it identified a whole bunch of level 2 agents and 1 level 3 agent. So I visited the level 3 agent. On arrival, the agent didn’t have anything for me. Apparently, she only offers missions to pilots who meet some standings requirement. My standing with that agent was 1.62, 2.42 with the Minimatars and over 8.0 with their corporation. Two questions:

Why was I not offered a mission? Why did the agent finder send me there?

Did you have “only show agents that meet standing requirements” enabled? It’s a little check box on the agent finder (quoted text is a paraphrasing and may be off)
Although if your Corp standing is that high you should be getting a mission. If you can attach some screenshots that would help.

Might be an R&D agent.

May have been a storyline agent

bumped to Missions - EVE Online Forums – Can you share the Agent Name?

Neither. It was a event agent.

Agent name?

So event agents are typically apart of a chain like COSMOS or data centers etc

Thanks for the replies! Not sure I follow what you are saying about chains. I’m not familiar with COSMOS, but I have done some of the data center turn-in missions for faction gain. I didn’t notice any chain there, in fact, eve university says you can only talk to each agent once. So I’m a bit confused, but the agent’s name is Sungur Tyrfin, in Hjoramold system. Why would the agent finder send you to someone who doesn’t have a mission for you? (ignore standings button was not checked).

Maybe because you left on on a set of missions and need to find the next

So a chain, is similar to the SOE arc and the other arcs (assuming you did the soe arc). Same agents every time and the only time you can access them is when you completed the arc up to the point of talking to them.
