Possible misleading text related to agent standings?

Note: I initially submitted a ticket and the GM’s reply suggested I post this here (and possibly the CSM forums as well).

Anyway, after declining too many missions from an agent while doing burners, my standings with this agent dropped below -2 (currently at -2.11) and she stopped offering me missions.

I hovered my cursor over the speech balloon symbol near the agent’s name on my Interactions tab, and it says the following: “Kiljavas Yaskasen will only provide you missions if you have a standing of at least 5.0 from her corp or faction towards you and neither of them below -2.0.”

The thing is that the standings from her corp and faction to me are 5.04 and 6.58, respectively.

When I submitted a ticked, the initial reply I got from a GM was the following: “The standings towards the Agent has dropped below the requirement and thus they will no longer offer you any missions. You can attempt to try and fix it with other missions, however it might no longer be possible to do missions for this particular Agent.”

My point is that the in-game text is misleading. It clearly states that the agent will only provide me missions if I have a standing of at least 5.0 from her corp or faction towards me and neither below -2.0. As it is written, this “neither” seems to refer to “corp” or “faction”, not the agent herself.

For example, it suggests that even if I have standings of, say, 5.5 with her faction, but -2.5 with her corp, she wouldn’t offer me a mission, even if I had standings of 9 with this agent. Similarly, if I have standings of 5.5 with her faction, but -1.9 with her corp, she’d offer me a mission as both are above -2.0 and at least one of them is above 5. Again, going by the way the text is written, there is nothing suggesting the personal standings (between me and the agent) interfere on this.

By the looks of it, it seems that this agent will no longer offer me any mission (I have no idea how I’d fix personal standings in a way that doesn’t involve the agent offering me a mission). So, the way I see it is that I get permanently locked out of some content due to a poorly written, misleading text.

Is there something that can be done about it?

get a friend to share mission rewards with you until she likes you again?

There is a fix for this. First off, is your diplomacy and connections trained to 5? If diplomacy is not, that may fix it.

2nd you can get a friend to run missions with you for that particular agent, and with you in fleet, share the standings with you. Be sure their social is V when you do.

3rd option, you can come to the USIA discord and considering agent standings move the fastest, someone may do it for a small amount of isk.

Or i can share this post with them and have a staff member reach out.

Yes, there is something that can be done about it, you can have somebody else run a mission or two for this agent with you in fleet.
As Geo Eclipse said, you can just join the USIA discord (I’m a mission runner for them), or you can send me an ingame mail directly. I can fix this for you if you want.

Start by training up Diplomacy and Connections skills…

As for declining missions, don’t decline a second mission offer within 4 hrs of declining the first mission offer… Just close out the Agent mission window and work for another Agent in the same corp… After 4 hrs, you can decline the 2 mission offer without incurring any standing penalty..

Lastly, just linking the ‘Faction Standing Repair Plan’ here if needed…

Oh ■■■■, I completely forgot about having someone else running the missions and me being in fleet (my related skills are maxed, so it’s not a skill issue). Thank you guys for reminding me of this! I’ll just bring an alt and do some grinding then
