I think AI would be useful for eve as long as it has restrictions, something that i think would be nice is if new bpos and bpcs were released that were special ‘Aura’ ones that you could only use as omega, with a Aura ship interfacing skill necesarry to use the AI ships, like an Aura venture for example, would help you do difficult sites that you wouldnt be able to do alone, but with penalties such as less loot/bounties if asisted by AI, also n banned from being used in ganking. the aura ships should have less hp/ehp then their capsuleer run counterparts, but like them, you must supply the fitting as well as having less efficiency as to combat potential use in botting, as well as only being able to use them while you are logged in, with a 1 minute timer to dock them at the nearest station if you are using them and try to log off to prevent backround isk printing, but more than anything, it should be used to give advice to rookies
yeah, those are only a few of my ideas, i thought of them while taking the FC AI survey, so blame them
dont even bother replying…
its a dumb idea
No. For the following reasons;
- This creates a false sense of security – Giving players a “guided‑AI” rookie capsuleers to rely on the system instead of learning the mechanics; navigation, combat tactics, risk assessment.
- Disrupts the game’s risk‑reward balance – The game’s pivots on weighing danger against potential profit. This can reduce the satisfaction of “hard‑won” victories and erode the incentive to develop personal skills.
- Potential for abuse and exploits – The 1‑minute dock timer is meant to curb background ISK generation, but clever players could still automate rapid “run‑by” site completions and resale of AI‑generated loot. Enforcing the timer across all possible cases (ship jump, capsule launch, etc.) would be technically challenging and could introduce a mess of speggitti code.
- Divides the player base more than ever – Introducing a distinct “AI‑only” ship tier may create a two‑track ecosystem: those who play “purely” with their own vessels versus those who lean on Aura ships. This division can fragment fleet composition, market demand, and even in‑game politics, making coordination harder for large corporations. We already have an Alpha/Omega split, we don’t need another.
Currently what we are calling AI isn’t real AI. It is just more code to make a machine appear to be inteligent. Let FC ruin the game at their own pace. I try not to help them in forcing AI into the game. Learn the game, play the game, don’t allow the game to play you.

agreed, it was just a spontaneous post, and like i said, it is a dumb idea
