I used to complete them religiously (without Evermarks), but now I find myself summoning the will just to login… Pre-Equinox there used to be a reason to login (free SP, boosters, SKINs), but with that gone the only reason to login now is Tuesdays for the free 15k SP. No reason to login = less reason to perform dailies (let alone gameplay).

In fact, I’d wager that the large stash of Evermarks that most players possess is one of the few reasons players are even completing some of the AIR dailies.

I don’t complete any dailies. I don’t like when a game gives me tasks, it’s no fun.
Besides, I already have a To-Do list in my kitchen, all my favorite things: Go grocery shopping, make cold tea and shakes, cut vegetables and fruits for the day’s meals, prepare my meds, prepare any meat I may cook, take care of laundry, make my bed, start/finish a painting, gather resources for my last jewelry creation, maybe go out with a friend, rest and read a book or watch a movie… I’m too busy for pixel dailies.
When I log into a game, I do what I want to do.

Some dailies only by accident (usually only the Scan 5 Sigs) on one char that scans anyway. I do not waste any time looking into the ADG or Opportunity window any more for this time-waste skinner box. I have not gotten past the first milestone in months now, and it feels good not having to worry about it.

Only for the 10.000 SP. Carrying a Miner and a Survey Scanner I BPO around doesn’t bother me, though I wish one daily goal was enough for the SP reward.

Don’t complete any dailies, or if I do, rarely and by accident.

I already have my own goals in mind when I log into the game, I don’t need the game to give me chores.

If the daily goals aligned with what I would normally do I might pay attention to their bonuses and try to complete the monthly goal, but in their current state they utterly fail to keep me engaged. This is strange, because dailies in other games (Warframe, Albion) generally succeeded in making me engage with them.

In EVE dailies are too much of a hassle if I need to go out of my usual way to do them, I’ve got better things to do.

I don’t even sign in (barely once or twice a month or two) but even if I did I wouldn’t bother. :face_with_monocle:

What you posted is basically how my Eve Online experience is now…

As for your survey, I’m like @Kezrai_Charzai…

I have enjoyed collecting logos for the ships, so have been doing most of the dailies for that. The extra SP is nice too.

Only my account mains and only sometimes or newer alts with low SP, on those I try to complete full month to get them “online” ASAP without injectors which I don’t use intentionally.

When it was OP I used to do it on all my alts on all omega accounts I had. Honestly, it was so annoying that I am glad it is no longer that beneficial  I hate dailies, but the rewards were so good back then, that I could not resist either and logged every day I could play and I hated it.

I accidentally complete some dailies while doing other things. But the walls are closing in. They add more content, but all the new content just makes the game more repressive. CCP hates players.

Up until recently I did, a combination of doing things and using Evermarks.

Now thpugh I don’t bother my arse.

The only reason to do the dailies was for the 10k SP used for the AIR career SP farming thing. And now that it’s gone, well…

Playing as Alpha now and grinding standings with Minmatar (Wanted to see how Alpha skills/fit work in level4 missions, but these are closed for Alphas? What a shame…). Also i like exploration.
So, most of the time these tasks align with what i do so why not? The only thing i don’t normally do is mining but they require so small amount of work so i decided to do it with general career opportunities for industry (a bit of mining, reprocessing and manufacturing).
But it’s not that i will do it if i don’t want today

In fairness, that really needed to be gone years ago…

Even though it’s an (extremely) small sampling, a whopping 90% of players who responded either don’t bother with or only complete some of the AIR dailies.

That’s because it’s not worth it, not for veteran players anyway. The 10k SP and 5 PLEX are a drop in the ocean.

I agree. They should be looking at ways of incentivizing players to login and actually do the types of things they normally do (or would do).

Well I would still say they’re a good incentive for newer players to keep logging in early in their career. Which might be just enough to get them in the habit of logging in regularly for the longer term.

The usual problem with EVE mechanics is that anything CCP does that’s “good for newbies” is probably even much more good for vets. In this case, going out of your way each day for 10k SP, 1 million ISK and a few Evermarks isn’t worth much to a vet. But it’s a noticeable boost of SP and ISK for a new player.

So although I’m not making much use of them myself, I do feel they’re a good option for newer players. And they probably also get newer players to at least try a few different activities.

Incentivizing vets to play more is a different issue, and not one I think daily bonuses is well suited to address.
