My friend and I want the Eve universe to expand it’s lore to include alien races and civilizations. Expand the horizons and build new races. The Reptilians are one example of an alien race. They fly fast ships and are good with stealth. The reptilians hid from mankind at first, but are now emerging from hidden civilizations. The Sasquatch have been hiding underground and now have spaceships. The Galaxians entered from another galaxy, they have tentacles and no eye but flaps of their forehead. They wear special goggles to see better with their no eye. Dinosaurs are evolving and the raptor has enough intelligence to fly a spaceship.
I’d like to advocate for aliens in the universe. The ones who are human friendly and won’t take over Earth. Those Zeta reteculi aliens want to take over Earth. Their honeycomb black eyes can see light that we can’t, they can look into your mind and s ee you think. They want to survive.
Does anyone have anymore aliens or alien stories they want to add? Think back to Spore engine, what kind of aliens did you encounter that might have a chance in the Eve universe. If the idea of aliens makes you feel toxic then stop exploring outer space. Xenophobic people shouldn’t play outer space games.
I agree it would be nice to have alien species in a space sim. Unfortunately it is not going to happen to EVE. It has less to do with game lore and more to do with the budget.
This is a dead give away you haven’t read much about the game lore. EVE takes place over 20K years in the future in another galaxy. Earth is a myth, you might want to read up on the lore and explore the system New Eden in the Genesis region. There you will find the Eve Gate which opened in 7703 A.D. and in 7987 A.D. colonization of EVE became possible. The gate collapsed in 8061 A.D.
Unfortunately you will meet more xenophobic players in this game for some odd reason. There is a xenophobic cyborgs in this game known as Triglavians in a pocket universe called Pochven. The only way to travel to Pochven and back is using filaments you can purchase in the market.
There is another group of NPCs called Drifter Hive that build wormholes and reside inside J space. These are just more augmented humanoids from Earth who have forgotten the past.

If they say they like cute little friendly aliens all around, for gods sake give them the aliens! Who are you to insult them with your eye-rolling? Yes, I have seen it! You rolled eyes! Thats an attack on their mental safe-space! Repent!
This. I find groups like the Trigs and Drifters far more disturbing because they are “alien” but not alien enough from humanity to be something wholly separate. It’s an “uncanny valley” type situation—unsettling because they are almost human.
I said, I am not against the aliens, FC just cannot afford the aliens. Is that not their excuse reason for anything anyone ever suggests?

Why do you need evil aliens when we have evil humans to battle? The darkest impulses of humanity are plenty to deal with. Eve already has constant war, social stratification, piracy, greed, duplicity, murder, smuggling, thrill killing, scams, backstabbing and everything else that we humans inflict on each other. What’s the need for some overpowered alien race to pop in and wreak havoc when we do that just fine ourselves?
Human behavior in all it’s forms are plenty to drive the game.
I like a good alien sci-fi story myself but I don’t feel there’s any need for it in the Eve universe. Please have a look at the lore and backstory of the universe. There’s plenty of drama going on already without any aliens needed.
I like EVE because it doesn’t have aliens beyond some non-sentient wildlife. It makes sense in-universe, when the EVE gate opened and humanity came through, most planets were very much uninhabitable, so the highly advanced terran civilisations that colonised it terraformed them. Some planets were already habitable, most notably most of the empire homeworlds (Matar is in fact described as a paradise world), while others (Caldari Prime, Misha IV) for example were uninhabitable and only became marginally habitable through massive terraforming projects. When the EVE wormhole collapsed, those terraforming projects were interrupted and these planets became chaotic before stabilising around more or less habitable points, which is why it took so very long for some of the empires to reestablish.
