If you are getting really mad at ICY’s success, can I suggest offering Goonswarm some ISK (secured through Chribba) to, uh, disperse ICY’s forces?
They’d probably do it for a trillion or four, and while high isn’t their area of expertise, they certainly have the capacity to project subcapital force when needed.
Goons would just take the isk and laugh. Now if it was a WH structure? You could probably find people who would do it for free because those things turn into god damn pinatas. To the point I’m almost tempted to see if I can start hunting abandoned structures in low class wormholes again. The last one I killed (a long time ago) turned into nearly 4b of profit.
You should stick to Industry as you clearly don’t know how the Injector market runs if you think a 0.5% broker fee has no effect on margins. Certain people are getting preferable rates and so it is ridiculously easy for them to squeeze out competition who are operating at 0.5%.
So what? If he wants to run his structure like that, and he has the backing/support for it then he has every reason to do so. You’re getting mad at someone for using game mechanics to their favor. I personally don’t like that you can set different taxes for different people myself, and I hate the 0% “trading is free!!” mentality as well. That’s why Mogul has a flat rate for everyone (including myself) in the hub structures.
Go ahead and do something then Moac. Oh wait CCP made it so 2 week invuln throwaway structures that cost <5b aren’t actually doable anymore. Don’t hate the player, hate the game (and maybe lobby your CSM to bring this up at the next summit coming up). However I personally don’t see CCP doing anything about it, I’ve lobbied for a change for years and nothing came of it.
I was just pulling you up on your comment that the 0.5% broker fee has no effect on causing negative margins, whereas even a 0.1% difference will make a large difference in the PLEX and Injector trade.
Even if you really are running your model with everyone having the same broker rate, ICY and PH are not.
Wooooweee! When I started playing eve, I never would have expected that there would be a thread discussing my actions. A part of me is flattered.
@ProjectPhoenix I am sorry to have lost your business. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavours. If you ever wish to use my hub again, even if just for the free jump clones, you are welcome.
@Brewlar_Kuvakei Duly noted. I will make an effort to use voice comms for banter more often. <3
@Moac_Tor Ever since the demise of the last standing PV hub, which used to offer 0% tax to its friends, I have not given anyone a preferred tax rate. Everyone is on equal footing at my hub. To this end, feel free to ask the biggest traders in eve, or the dozen or so traders that mail me every week asking for a reduced tax rate. No one gets a reduced tax rate; it just wouldn’t be to my benefit.
Like others have said, the low margins on injectors can be associated with a number of factors, such as the recent extractor, MTPC and PLEX sales. When these sales hit, sp farmers cash out their sp to stock up on their essentials. Most know to use sell orders rather than dump to buy orders, and so the margins between the buy and sell orders retract. Nothing to do with broker fees.
More importantly though, I don’t trust Richard Price’s snip-it of his spreadsheet one bit. No clue where he gets his numbers from. Currently, injectors have a buy price of 712M and sell of 729.4M. That’s a profit margin of over 0.4% after sales tax and broker fees. Any insinuation that the market in The Forge is being manipulated by my hub is fake news.
Also, on top of all of that wondering when shits gonna blow ^^ it appears that the numerical keys you typed in like make your name pop up 1st on the top of all that shiat upon entering Perimeter.
