Alpha clone suicide ganking - plague of EVE

Sigh. I have always had an Omega account. I’d have more than one if CCP had not messed about with things and moved the goal posts every 5 minutes…so no, CCP have not go what they were looking for.

Whatever serves my personal advancement. Which is what the game is all about.

A bit like punching yourself in the face to teach somebody a lesson.

How can you compare making more money to getting punched in the face? Love the .gif though.

game is fine the way it is now gang wise, still i suggest new players get the dead cheap heron and make millions in null sec through a wh, risk vs reward

i have a friend that play EVE on and off for the same time i play
he plex the account , buy some ship , go do exploration , or combat sites , or events , or abyssal …
only PVE
he play solo , he is always showing to me a new toy, pimped gila , golem , 400 million exploration frig etc

i cant do it because the best part of EVE to me is PVP

but he doesn’t complain , some times he lose a ship , have great money because PVE is awesome to make money

i have nothing to say bad about his play style , he likes it , he is interacting with the game
he is happy

some times i log in 4 AM and he is playing , totally immersed

if you want to be a PVE player do like my friend , don’t cry , enjoy the game

I think all new players should learn how to drive a standard transmission before playing or posting. It would save us all a lot of whining.

You got any numbers?

I’m not seeing the same thing so far. Slight increase in activity of major groups, likely associated with the 7 days free Omega.

So would be interested to see what you are seeing to suggest it’s dropped since Uprising.

These “low lives” seem by that view to be more economically saavy than you.

Are you jealous?

Also, please show your working out.

There’s nothing wrong with telling authorities about a crime. The people who bemoan snitching are thugs and lowlives and those who are afraid to “snitch” are… hell, I can’t write it in this forum, not PG13.

He’s not referring to reporting something to the authorities.

In this case, he’s referring to the poster accidentally letting the cat out of the bag that the account they posted with is a sock-puppet alt.

But he is. Discussing moderation here is a grave class A felony, punishable by 5 to 10 and the moderators are the authorities here.

My lord, I didn’t get any of that when I read his response. I seriously need to brush up on my English. Thank you.
And you’re saying that some of these forum members are alts…? that’s messed up, never know if I’m replying to a real person behind a character or a real person behind an alternate character. smh

Ah. So you’re a snitch too.

Got it

I’m proud to help our heroes in uniform. If they need info about anything I will tell and feel good about being a good citizen. I’m on the side of Law & Order.

You better, buster. I be comin’ after ya next.

Posting behind alts to astroturf these forums is just part of a broader pattern of what goes on here.

The “good guy” anti-ganking / no-highsec-PVP crowd:

  • Posts on astroturfing / sock-puppet alts because “I don’t want repurcussions on my main”
  • Merely says “think of the newbies / rookies”
  • Simply says “the other side” has no arguments
  • Keeps threatening to appeal to ISD actions

The “bad guy” pro-ganking / pro-PVP crowd:

  • Posts on mains (or confirms their forum-posting-alts with their mains) and owns their words
  • Actually starts threads containing advice geared for newbies / rookies, and actually replies to threads started by rookies / newbies with concrete survival tips
  • Tries to engage with “the other side” with rebuttals and data
  • Doesn’t threaten ISD moderation

That sounds like a political fight I want no part of. I signed up to EVE for fun, sport and friendship and if I make enemies they will be enemies of the corporation I just joined.
Also, it’s kind of like a spouses domestic fight since the game is both PvP & PvE and every wise person knows to stays clear of and not take part in a couple’s domestic disturbance.
You guys can duke it out here on the forum, it makes for good comedic and drama reading while I be like the Swiss, neutral and getting paid for it.

Eve has a huge political element. In fact the intrigue and skulduggery is what I actually like most about Eve…more than PvP or PvE. It is an entire career path in itself.

You posted a lot but only proved my point futher.

That you screencap’d my post as if you were afraid of me editing it is hilarious. I’m not known for that. Someone else is, though.

Most players actually invested in Eve do use skulldaggery and trickery – even when they are mission runners and miners – because they use ganking / mercenaries / wardeccers to acheive their aims. Paying to have astrahauses removed, or POCOs/gantrys destroyed, using alts to see when high sec moons are popping to “borrow” their ore, etc.

There is a difference between in-game and out-of-game actions. You making up stuff about “Aiko alts all forum flagging” is just part of an ancient mythological tradition at this point.

What we do have proof of are vague or explicit threats to get ISD involved – or in my case: direct threat to get me booted entirely from in-game by complaining and petitioning directly to CCP Games because I kept pointing out a forum members’ disenginuous behavior here.

I don’t have to resort to some “mysterious vague alts no one knows about” to convince people. I point to direct verifiable behavior. That’s the difference between you and me.

Also your overuse of the horizonal line makes your posts seem really bad
