Hello everyone, I was hoping you could help me with this. I want to be able to do 5/10 s in Guristas space. I am well trained in missiles and drones. I’ve heard that people actually do these in Gilas which is great but I don’t mind using Drake or Praxis or something different with Missiles and/or drones.
I’d really appreciate some advice and preferably a fit where I can relate too since I am an alpha clone.
Also in future I am planning on doing angels 5/10 ded sites

the main issue you will have, is being webbed/shot.
I don’t think alpha can use MJD ? taht’s very useful.
I did recently a few ded5 angel (literally 7 over the last two weeks), as long as you keep your distance, and shoot the sentry tower in the last room FIRST you should be fine .
So I am not able to complete a site without MJD ?
about the angel one (IIRC the guristas one is almost the same, just you get shot at 150km by the BS) :
if you can shoot the web towers in the last room fast, then you should be able to also handle the small ships with your drones while running away from the bigger ones and shooting them.
in each room, you want to let your small drones handle the frigates first, so that they don’t eat your drones. Then you can remain at range and shoot kinetic missiles as much as you want.
I BELIEVE a drake should be able to handle the gugu ded5, if you have kinetic + polyspectrum hardeners, 10MN AB, and tow lows dedicated to shield regen alongside with 3 purgers.(other mid should be LSE) IIRC the guristas BS will have a hard time applying to small moving ships, so the only real threat is to be webbed or caught by the mass of cruisers/BC which can hit hard.
So which ship would have better chances? The Gila or the Drake? because the Gila nor the Drake are particularly fast Gila is about 580m/s and the Drake even a bit slower? Would a Praxis or a Raven be good too?
BS have even biggger sigs.
I can’t tell you what will be good. A BS is IMO bad unless you can fit a MJD, which alphas can’t.
I would say gila then, if you have good skills. don’t use rapid light, you need the range to shoot the web tower in the last room.

Guristas 5/10 is I would say harder than other pirate factions, tanking the damage is harder because of how far away they shoot the missiles, and sniping them while kiting from distance out of their range is less effective. I dont think alpha can do that solo in drake without warping out multiple times.
The thing is, long range damage from gugu is 100% kinetic (or close) and can be avoided using speed. so I think using 1 or 2 kinetic shield hardeners would help a lot, as long as you get away from the smaller ships, shoot the web structures first, and keep moving.
I know a Navy Caracal can do it, one person did it. But had to warp out 12 times or so. Did it in 2 hours. So person must be prepared for thing like that. And very weak drop like only overseer personal effects…
The easiest for alphas is Angel 5/10 I think. Guristas the worst.
PBT polyspectrum is far from “weak drop”.

angels don’t deal thermal damage . The turrets do, but it’s so low you don’t care. so replace the thermal hardener with a polyspectrum.
remove the MSE, it’s useles
RF LSE are better (a bit) than CN because they add less sig, so you take less damage, for the same HP bonus.
CDFE in the rigs are worse than purgers. Use purgers, they give better tank rep.
explosive rig is useless, use a purger.
infiltrator, hammerhead, vespa, are useless. go for matar drones.
