depends largely on how you run missions. If you clear everything, loot, and salvage, well turns out that’s the worst way to run them if you are looking to maximize income. All the travel time kills your income. Loot and salvage just aren’t worth very much these days. A ton of the mission income is in the LP. You can make nice isk just blitzing the good ones, should beat any subcap ratting for income. And then with burners lv4s are very good income, especially if you go to Lanngisi as the constellation layout minimizes travel time. With high standings you can decline almost all non-burner missions and make up to ~200mil/hr. there will be some ups and downs depending on the LP market, and you need the right implants and ships to make the top end money.
DEDs have a lot of variables. How many do you have access to? and how much variation in drops can you take? if you can chain 10/10s then running DEDs is probably better than lv4 missions.
DED = Directive Enforcement Department, but that doesn’t tell you much more if you don’t know what DED sites are. Everyone refers to them as DED sites (or just 3/10, 4/10, etc…) in fact I had to look up what the acronym is for tbh. They are the rated combat signatures that you scan down, you can also get them from escalations from anomalies.
You recognize DED sites, because when you warp to them it will say, for example: “DED Threat Assessment: Unsafe (3 of 10)”
I use my vexor for everything. I go on a 5-8 system run looking for anomalies and I don’t want to have swap ships.

For ammo I swap between Antimatter, Iridium, and Uranium depending on range I want.
For every anomaly EXCEPT for DED sites, the battleships burn too fast for the drones to keep up and don’t have the gun firepower to break it’s reps at long enough range to stay out of large blaster range. I have a kitting Thorax for DED sites.
