There’s only one EVE, but there are around 180 countries with a different version of healthcare in each. Everything from literally free, “free”, private, Semi private, etc. Then there’s the station of citizen in each country as to what type of health care they are afforded.
If you want to narrow it down to one country along with a synopsis of the system used for the people who don’t live there, it might be better.
Or just find a better analogy.

If you know of a single country where the doctors work for free, the hospital buildings were built for free, the electricity water and heat to those buildings are free, and the medicine and equipment costs exactly nothing to produce, then let me know and I’ll gladly buy a one-way ticket…

My bad for mentioning anything remotely political, especially on this forum…
Case-in-point: I’m moving some processed minerals for “free” right now instead of paying a 5% (est.) hauling fee. It’s taken me about 30 minutes to make the 3-4 required trips, during which time I probably could’ve made 50-100m ISK. All to save 5% on roughly 150m ISK (~7.5m). Arguably it probably did arrive faster than on contract…
So did I really haul this for “free”? Or did it cost me 32.5-92.5m ISK for thinking it was “free”? All so I could be semi-afk and check up on my various threads in the forums.

That’s in the realm of sunk costs, which is an entirely different conversation. Fortunately for me, I’m in a position that, other than the cost of my Omega sub, it costs me nothing other than time to just sit here and play. I literally have all the time in the world to play whenever I want, even at work, as I am doing right now. There’s no sunk cost, because there isn’t anything else I could be doing right now anyway. I’m on a two-week long job in the middle of nowhere with nothing better to do. The only other things I could be doing are sleeping or rubbing one out to Blanche from the Golden Girls…

Not to me. I just play for fun.
If it pleases me to haul something myself, I don’t do a cost/benefit analysis before undocking. Same as for anything else I do in game. I hate mining, so I buy minerals. I hate hauling crap from Jita to Amarr, so I pay someone else to do it. I don’t like salvaging all the crap from missions, so I leave it for someone else. If I feel like it that day, I’ll sell to buy orders.
Is it less efficient? Am I losing ISK?
Don’t know, don’t care. Max efficiency is not why I play the game.

There is no ‘free’. There is always a cost somewhere, either in time or to someone else.
‘Free To Play’ is ultimately being subsidised to some degree by those who do actually pay.
The whole ’ I PLEX my account’ thing ultimately depends on other people buying PLEX to sell for ISK. The irony being that a portion of those who do so also whine about ‘Pay To Win’ and wallet warriors.
Even on the subject of overpowered ‘free’ ships, nah…they are not really ‘free’ are they. And of course the real reason people complain is that every free ship detracts from someone’s profit selling over-priced not-free ships. Eh ?

It’s official. I know what we need to do. Everyone (except Gloria) is determined to prove that the Gnosis is very overpowered despite it requiring no ship skills. The solution is clear- Nerf it into the ground so that no one will want to fly it. Nerf it so that it’s slightly more powerful than a combat fit Venture. That’s the solution.
All Conscious Thought ships need to be nerfed and that will end this entire debate. Every Alpha ship should be undesirable and disposable.
Task has been set and everyone will be happy.
