An Absurdity With Omega Character Skills

For each account (alpha or Omega), you have 1 skill queue. No more, no less.
You can use MCT to add a second or third queue.
Omega accounts skill faster.

No, because the Alpha account also can only train one character at a time.

You will always have to choose which character you spend your skill points on, even when CCP revamps the skill accrual process. Being Omega doesn’t entitle you to free MCT, and Alpha existing doesn’t devalue the benefits of Omega account entitlements across all characters. Again, adding Alpha should not be used as an argument to change basic Omega account functionality.

No hun, you are the one with a math disorder.

Omega gets you twice as many skillpoints, how you use them is up to you. Nobody cares about your problems.

I’m not asking for free MCT…I’m simply asking that any character within an Omega account that one is paying for not be worse off than an equivalent character within a free account. The alt Omega account is actually at a disadvantage compared to a solo Alpha account. I’m asking for a disadvantage to be removed.

Sheesh. Why is this so hard for people to comprehend ? It’s not that complicated. But the penny just refuses to drop.

Except you are. I don’t know why you don’t perceive it that way, but literally, training two characters at the same time has never been possible without a multiple character training certificate. Any change to that logic is free MCT - even if it is a limited free MCT, it’s still free MCT.

Your argument also ignores all of the other benefits of being Omega that apply to all characters on an Omega account, such as the lack of ship and module restrictions, access to L4 and L5 missions, and the ability to leverage any trained skills.

The Omega account is not at a disadvantage. Both accounts have the same rules with regards to concurrent training, and it requires a deliberate choice on the part of the player to spend their training time wisely across all their characters.

Haven’t you heard of folks paying for a second account to avoid the single-training-queue restriction? That’s been a thing for all of EVE’s history.

Either pay for additional training queues, or pay to transfer the trained character from an Alpha (usually cheaper than an MCT, if all the skills are Alpha-eligible), but don’t make this specious claim that Alpha existing magically puts Omegas at some kind of disadvantage.

Here is an actual example to show the absurdity

My third Omega character has existed since October last year. It’s my scout character and gets logged in on a regular basis…almost daily. That character has just 1.2m SP. I pay for that character.

On the other hand. I have a free solo Alpha account that has merely existed since March and has been logged in half a dozen times, yet already has 2.5m SP for doing practically nothing.

So a character that I have paid absolutely nothing for, and which has done absolutely nothing and hardly ever even logged in…actually has twice the SP in half the time than a paid for character that I use almost daily.

What the hell am I paying for if this daftness can arise ?

No. You pay for that account, which grants Omega benefits to all characters therein.

Which does not include free limited additional training slots. Never has. And since additional training slots is income for CCP, it probably never will.

Every account can train one character for free. So yes, if you create a free Alpha account it can train a character for free.

Your Omega characters will train twice as fast, but you’re still limited to training just one character per account, unless you pay for MCT.

You are asking for your additional characters on your Omega account to train for free (so you’re asking for free MCT) on the basis that extra Alpha accounts are also free.

It’s apples and oranges. They’re not comparable and you’re begging for free stuff.

Here, get this if you wish to train your alternate characters on your Omega account yet insist you do not wish to stop training the main character on that account: https://secure.eveonline.com/multiple-character-training

Why would an additional character on an account I am paying for NOT receive the same SP benefits as a solo Alpha character that I am not paying for ? If CCP has SP to hand out for free…up to 5m SP…why are they NOT being handed out to alt Omega characters but only to people who are paying absolutely nothing ? Perhaps that is the best way of putting it.

Calm down.

Omega gets you TWICE as many skill points as Alpha.

You can spend it on any character you want, just stop whining.

No, you will not get SIX times as many skill points.

But Alpha accounts are free, so I demand MCT for free too! Otherwise it’s unfair!

I feel sorry for Cilly, stuck in a perpetual state of exaggerated protest, probably making a daily scene at McDonald’s and Wal-Mart.

I feel even more sorry for you…when silly ad hominem is all you’ve got rather than logic. I have made a perfectly valid point. It is merely beyond the capacity of vets stuck in a certain mindset to actually grasp it.

Never mind…with more noobs joining and lots of grumpy old vets leaving, things will change.

Yip next post will be: “I don’t get it I reloaded my weapons and my ammo in my inventory disappeared, I payed good isk for that ammo and now its just gone CCP should change it so that ammo never runs out.”

Once again, calm down.

I have made a perfectly valid point.

Alpha accounts earn skill points at a rate of x per minute.

Omega accounts earn skill points at a rage of 2x per minute.

If you are not satisfied, nobody will care. If you do not feel like you are getting your money’s worth, you are free to stop paying for the faster rate.

I’d seek help with your hallucinations that people are not calm. I’m simply making a point. Nobody is forcing you to respond.

You have made your point.

Thank you for your input.

Which went ‘woooosh’…right over people’s heads. Not one person actually responded directly to the point being made.

Never mind.

Nobody agrees with you.

It’s time to calm down and consider that maybe you aren’t as bright as you think.

People understand what you are saying. But we disagree with your logic.
