An interesting idea of ending Minmatar-Amarr conflict

Interesting how incidents can make one feel at different stages of one’s life.

When one small incident occurs that is due in no small part to poor commitment to ongoing training, it feels like a shameful indictment.
Yet, when one small incident is remembered and held up as the example of that time when PIE acted against our ROE, it stands out as a clear indicator that we really are doing quite well in that regard.

Thank you for the reminder.

That’s one way to look at it. Another way is: I can think of more examples of your pilots breaking your supposed ROE than I can of your pilots upholding them.

You do know that the pilot that did that resigned over it, right?

And now you’re just lying.

Did not know that.

No I’m not. Think about it, Aldrith: How many specific encounters with PIE in space do you think I’ve ever had?

Oooh, I know this one. It’s… 9 ! not 3, or 5, or 7, but 9 !

You have a very flexible mind.

I got a lot of flexible bits! My hair, for example.

As this topic has gone on for a time, that number was based off very early reports, my buyers have been busy, and as I have received a more accurate accounting this morning - this number is marginally larger standing at 42,624.

The Scriptures are as perfect as our understanding of His Will is at that moment, and thus imperfect as the entirety of His Will has not been revealed to us. The Empress is as close to God as a mortal can be, thus to any beneath her she is infallible at that moment.

Amarr can make mistakes and we do learn from them. There is nothing that indicates that the institution of slavery should not be practiced at this time, though it is true that one day it shall no longer be needed. A Glorious day that shall be.

You mean she exists only in your imaginations, too??

That. Right there.

If she only exists in my imagination she only exists in yours as well… So does the Empire… and so do all of “your people” we imaginary Amarr have.

I guess you can cease worrying about it now, hm?

You were given a choice between the rational and the absurd and you chose to be obtuse. In a rather clever manner, I have to admit. Well played.

I rather like the thought of being imaginary.

Could you imagine it if we were all actually fictional characters being played by bored nerds in their off-hours on some sort of mass-scale game? Fortunately that could never be true; no one in their right minds would put as much effort as we do into these silly arguments if they were all fake.

Unless…

Nah, no way.

If ‘imagined’ with enough fidelity and the person having enough life experience to inject that into us, how ‘imaginary’ would it really be? Of course, it’s nonsense, but it’d still mean these conflicts and conundrums were real somewhere, to someone.

To me, every last human being in New Eden and beyond exists only within the confines of my infomorph. Should that ever pass, so would my reality and everyone in it. If I cease to exist, so does my perception of everything I ever behold. So if we were all imagined by something else, would we be any less ‘real’ than the people we maintain within our own minds, like you or my crew, or a beautiful woman in my bed?

Not to mention that there is a reasonable argument to be made for existence being a simulation, and so… are they simulations all the way down in this imaginary scenario? What of the ones we make?

Of course, this reality merely being some weird experiment or entertainment would certainly explain the majority of capsuleers. If we didn’t already have well documented things like capsuleer dementia established, I’d actually start getting paranoid about this.

For some of us, the truth is closer than you think. After all, with the digitization of the mind, so many pieces are just extensions of that mind.

And this is why I just believe what the Scriptures say. Saves time thinking when I could be flying and blowing up the enemies of the Empire.

It’s much easier to perpetuate atrocities than think about them.

No.

It’s much easier to perpetuate atrocities when you’re annoyed before you’ve had a morning cup of tea.

When are we obliterating Pator again?

You’re going to try to obliterate a star?

Why not? It would be a perfect fit for that image of interstellar moustache-twirling villains you seem to be so fond of.
Figuratively speaking, of course. Moustaches don’t seem to be popular in the Empire for whatever reason.
