Okay, but how does selling crap fit ships at inflated prices to newbros who haven’t yet learned PvP avoidance help them? Oh yeah, that’s going to level the playing field and help newbros find their footing.
These packs don’t help newbros. As far as spending money is concerned, the best value for them, by far, is to get a sub. And even if they wanted to spend more, they’re better off buying plex. And, as far as getting better outcomes is concerned, I’m personally of the opinion that the best thing they can do is to increase their player skill through experience, guides/videos/articles, and community knowledge.
Hell, even Mike Azariah, the guy famous for giving out free ships to newbros signed this open letter. So, I’m not exactly sure how one interprets this as a benefit to newbros. In fact, from where I’m sitting, it looks more like a way to milk newbros for more money.
