Thrust is how you overcome gravity.
In science antigravity is a theoretical force that reduces or nullifies gravity, while there’s almost certainly some mad scientist tinkering with it there have been no successful experiments afaik.
While we do have technology that can overcome gravity, we can’t harness the forces of gravity or antigravity directly; we don’t understand the former enough to let us get a handle on the latter.

See, a new character would not have previous memory of being accused of being a Balos alt and would react differently. You’re predictable and that makes it easy to spot your new characters, whether you call yourself Balos, Hysan, Darlo, Trakoro or something else.
Maybe because evey ‘balos opinion’ is automatically accused of actually BEING balos?
This is an reflex some have because not being able to accept that ‘balos’ is just a myth that is deep in the brain of some people so that the even cannot THINK of the mere idea that ‘the balos opinon’ is nothing special?

National Socialist Germany ~ no evidence has been found, yet the rest of the tech their mad scientists developed is fairly public knowledge.
Ancient India, the Hindu holy books describe Vimāna, flying cities; they also depict stuff that looks like aircraft, spacecraft and guys in pressure suits. ~ no evidence of the depictions being more than flights of fancy.
I’m going to go with Occam’s Razor on this.
