Anomic Team Lvl 4 Minmatar (Jaguar Burner)

It looks like nobody has posted on this for a while, so here goes:

This burner mission has two repper boats plus the jag. If you try to use drones on the repper boats, the jag will scramble and insta kill them.

I just completed this mission in a kite Enyo.

This fit is not cap stable, and so upon arrival, burn away from the group (you start at about 40k, even after exit/re-entry).

Once you get to comfortable range, turn off MWD, and start pulsing your mwd when the Jag closes to 30km, if you do this, you will be cap stable. The jag should then fluctuate between 30km and 50km (enyo max lock range).

If you let Jag get closer than 25… you might get blown up, but manually keeping at range of 30+ I did not get hit once.

Logi do not have any ewar so don’t worry. Apply the ECM to one logi, and the painter and guns to the other. It will take two minutes approx. for their reps to drop so you can kill the first logi (believed they cap out).

Fit is as follows:

Enyo

High:
4x 150mm railgun II (Spike S)

Mid:
5MN Cold-Gas Enduring Microwarpdrive
Enfeebling Scoped Ladar ECM
Phased Scoped Target Painter

Low:
Co-Processor II
Fourier Compact Tracking Enhancer
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Vortex Compact Magnetic Field Stabilizer

Rigs:
Small Hybrid Collision Accelerator I
Small Processor Overclocking Unit I

Drones: didn’t use

You can try the t2 mwd but watch what it does to your cap.
You may not need the Target Painter, but it seemed to help apply damage (spike really nerfs your tracking).
Effectiveness of ECM is unknown but this fit worked.

With my skills (lvl 4 rail spec) I’m doing 134.6dps and optimal is out to 49km. Apart from the first logi their tank is not an issue you could probably do it with 10-20dps less. The first logi is believed contingent upon waiting for their capacitor to drop, or range to increase between them. I did make a couple 45* turns.

If you use keep at range button, the logi will likely be flying all over the place and my guess is you’ll never kill them. Just manual keep at range in a straight line and they will keep their sig up and transversal down. Good luck!

This method should work for other frigs with 3 mids that can reliably put down 120+ dps between 30-50km.

You can use the export to clipboard function in pyfa or in-game simulator to save yourself typing the fit by hand. This will in turn allow other people to just copy and paste the fit into notepad, pyfa, ghost fitting or whatever without having to recreate it manually, saving everyone the time and effort.

With that aside, although it’s nice that you have come up with a fit of your own, I don’t find it too efficient. Sure it’s cheap, but the cheap Garmur fitting on the burner mission guide costs only 95m ISK and more than makes up for the difference through efficiency. On top of that, the fit can also be more or less recreated on a Hookbill, resulting in similar cost but shorter kill time still. So I feel the only reason to fly this would be for the fun of it- but then again, there is a Harpy fit on that guide which does a similar thing albeit more optimized. Maybe you could use that to improve your own Enyo setup.

On a final note, T2 MWD is never a viable alternative to its meta variants. The extra speed afforded is miniscule whereas both the enduring and restrained variants are easier on cap, on top of that the restrained variant gives smaller sig bloom.

If you want to go ECM path you may as well use a Kestrel. Cap stable, no manual jiggling, 100% safe. The only danger is to die from old age before you will kill first logi (i don’t believe they ever caps out, never experienced that).

When a logi is ECM’d he runs away. To like 100km. so all you need is to keep one logi ECM’d, shoot the other, then shoot the jagu.

Hookbill can do it.

You need to ECM logi twice in row to make him run far enough.

it’s enough the moment he can’t RR the logi. He then leaves, and you lose target but the ECM keeps ticking to the end of the cycle so when it comes back, it will take it one ECM cycle more to RR the first logi. So you need to apply ECM one cycle out of two ^^.

But yeah to make it go 100km away you need to have a good range. I did it with a sacrificial griffin(which actually did not die, because 5mn) when I Iacked the skills to solo them.

I did legitimately killed my first few burners with kestrel (using regular missiles, not faction). That was fun for the time, but i don’t want to repeat experience

I use one Garmur fit (mentioned above) for all teams and it is really nice to have one ships and relyable tactic to do the job.

Both of those you mention are missile boats, and this is cheaper than either of those if I’m not mistaken. So there’s two reasons. Also my fit doesn’t contain MWDII. This fit and method works well and pretty efficiently.

T2 rockets and support skills are a pretty short train, and in the case of Garmur you don’t even need Caldari Frigate V.

Cheaper than Garmur and same cost as Hookbill, yes, also a Kestrel fit was suggested. Point is, if it takes me 3 minutes to run a mission in the Garmur and 6 minutes in your Enyo fit, I will make the difference back in maybe half an hour. So despite paying more up front, in the long run I end up making more ISK.

You suggested it as an alternative though so I just wanted to make a note.

You’re entitled to your opinion. Since you’re sharing your method here though, I’m taking the liberty to share my feedback on it not just for you, but also others who may be interested in doing these missions.
